Frequency Array Diagram

Wat is the difference between the two ice planet and water world spectral symbols/signals?
I’d test it but the connection issues drove my away :(

Edit: I’m now wondering what a ringed ice/metal rich/etc. would look like.

And if planets with volcanism have special signals too? Maybe not, but still curious :)

I've been trying to find the logic (if there's any) behind that but I got nowhere. Couldn't find any correlation between body info and the patterns. Still a mystery... or a glitch :D

EDIT: I'm also lacking the pattern and frequency for Class V GGs, so if you find one, please report :)

EDIT 2: GG Class V now added.

Excellent work as usual.

After the initial nightmare of setting up the binds, I've started to get the hang of this now. I've already started skipping a couple of systems because the pings are all icy/rocky.

The problem I have been having is that, say I want to scan only the rocky worlds, so I'm tuned to rocky worlds and I hunting for the arrow pattern.
The trouble is that if that rocky world is a moon of a gas giant, I won't see the arrow pattern and I can't zoom in on the gas giant because I'm not tuned to it.
So the game forces you to scan planets you don't want to scan, in order to eliminate the other arrow patterns that are masking the one you are looking for.

Or am I doing something wrong?

You don't have to scan them. If there are several bodies in a group and you're tuned to one type amongst the bodies of said group, the reticule shows two distinct circles, one full (the rocky body/ies) and slightly transparent, the other dotted (the GG) and brighter. Tune to the GG (heaviest, primary body of the group) in order to zoom in on the group, then tune back to rocky and scan only the one(s) you want. No need to scan anything you don't want.

Awesome! I guess it's pretty complete now. Unless there are special cases, for glowing gas giants, or other phenomena we can't encounter yet.

So for the group of ELW, AW, and WW patterns, I guess if you can remember the letter sequence of "RAL ANA", you're mostly good to go. You can add an "L" at the end too, but it starts to sound a bit naughty. ;)

Or am I doing something wrong?

I had the same confusion at first. Sometimes you will even see the solid circle, indicating that you can zoom right to it, and yet you can't. Apparently you can also bind keys for stepped zoom, and you can tap those a bunch of times to zoom just far enough that the moons become directly accessible. I posted about it as a bug report, and that's what the dev told me to try.

Lagrange Clouds, I will check records and see where they come in on the frequency scale.

Appears to be this one;

Oh, that's the first interesting new exploration content. I take it it's an empty placeholder that you couldn't visit for now?

Wow! I didn't think they'd have any of the new phenomena accessible yet, since they're doing this phased roll out of features.

Lagrange clouds. As long as they're at the L4 and L5 locations, they make perfect sense. :D

There's quite a bit of stuff out here, found four different types of Lagrange Clouds, about 6 types of life forms and/or minerals floating in them, it's hard to tell for some of it. Apparently it is appearing in the codex for other people as I find it so I suggest checking there as well. I haven't posted screenshots of everything I have found, I want to leave some of it as a surprise, it wouldn't be fair for me to just post everything before anyone else has a chance to see it for themselves.

Very good work, OP!

It begs the question why we do have to learn some signs language in order to understand the things shown on the graph?

More on the Phenomena:

So the first one appeared on my nav panel after honk, but then after visiting it I fired up the FSS, and found two more, this time on orbital planes. I didn't have to scan them, unlike USSs, sweeping near them was enough to make them appear as phenomena.

OK, now that is nice. It will allow for explorers to stumble upon phenomena, as long as they're already using the scanner.
