I would be equally undisturbed. What if the reward tier went the other direction? Not as many people participated, so there's no harm in giving the FSD Reward to only the top 10 contributors, right?
Especially if you learn that they change that reward tier After the whole thing is said and done, completed and you can't put a lick more progress into it.
You don't change the rules of an event like a Football game or a Community Goal during or after.
We couldn't be bothered to get into the 25%. We could have been bothered to get into the 75%. We played by the rules, the rules changed, we get gently caressed by the rule change.
Give the players their reward.and put the blueprint in the engineer store.... Simples.Just make the FSD available again as a reward at some point in the future so anyone who missed it this time round can have another crack at it. Getting one for nothing is daft, and no I don't have one as like others I knew I wouldn't get to the top 25% so I never took part. I don't want one for free though, I want to at least earn it.
Masochista! So I can FSD backwards, of course!
Why would I, did they change the rules after those events too?I suppose you want all the decals from the previous CGs too?
Make it available in Jameson Memorial only, for a substantial price after a period of time.
At the very least players have to earn Elite status then, it retains some exclusivity, and it’s not locked behind a once only competition.
And gif dese peeple hair, Cohagan!!You have - inadvertently I'm sure - penalised all those players that played by YOUR rules.
Many of them are now effectively worse off. Specifically:
1. Those that didn't bother to enter the CG as they knew they wouldn't have the time to reach the top 25%.
2. Those that entered but quit before 75% for the same reason.
If you are interested in being perceived to be fair (actually, just being fair!), and if you want to retain confidence, you should hand it out to everyone, and give the top 25% a paintjob or something, so at least their effort is rewarded.
Read the first post. You getting it would simply be collateral damage. Or they can run another CG, or whatever, they just need to rectify it for those that they did over when they changed the rules after the event.I deliberately didn't do the CG - why should I expect the module?
I don't honestly understand why the OP should be demanding it...
NAnd you still don't say why FDev should do this, beyond fairness, which is a load of dogs bullocks. Not that there was any real unfairness in this situation.Read the first post. For the record, I never got a chance to participate, as the CG finished before I had any free time and normally I'm not narcissistic, especially about stuff in games, except maybe one little daliance campaigning for Odyssey VR... However, I came into this thread fully expecting to be willingly persuaded by an eloquent OP into thinking that because the CG was spanked before many had a chance to participate, primarily due to the super efficiency of carriers to bulk haul to CG's, it might have been sporting of Frontier to make the fancy FSD available to all. However, having read the OP, I'm sorry, I'm not buying your argument, other than to say the paint job for the 25%.You have - inadvertently I'm sure - penalised all those players that played by YOUR rules.

Life isn't fair?
So why people who got the module are offended by the idea that frontier change the terms again ?
For example: "All players can buy one 5A FSD with double engineering at a standard price at station X"
Because FD have no way of knowing who has lost out they can only fix it with a broad stroke of the brush.NAnd you still don't say why FDev should do this, beyond fairness, which is a load of dogs bullocks. Not that there was any real unfairness in this situation.
I want a sheep... A black one!Oh - and can I get a pony?
