That's part of an existing pan-modal feature shared by all players - not a new feature yet to be added to the game....
But you said that Open Only Powerplay should have no effect to the BGS.
I did indeed - I had incorrectly assumed that the bonus would only be removed from players in Solo and Private Groups / restricted to players in Open.
What if it would be available for everybody? And we're not talking about Powerplay bonus here, I am talking about effects over security, market prices, black markets being opened/closed, discounts etc. Every player could benefit from them, it would just be the Powerplay people fighting for those systems, while the rest of the player base gets the pretty things.
That'd be an Open only feature affecting those who can't affect it from their chosen game mode - which would seem to be more unfair than the current situation where we all affect game features equally (noting that those who choose to play in Open may be less efficient in affecting game features due to their choice to play among those players who may oppose them).
So no bonus is better than something that could benefit the community.
Sometimes I feel some people only argue out of spite.

If the bonus was available to all players, in all game modes, as a result of a feature that had no effect on the BGS, then there'd be no problem in my opinion - as all players could benefit from it.
Which is an effect to BGS nonetheless. So it should be gone as the others. It would be an advantage for local factions.

Well we do not actually, but you would renounce to the 15% discount for everybody.

The discount is only 5% more than that available at Jameson Memorial - and the stations where it is offered lack the convenience of the availability of all ships and modules.
Some who consider that players in modes other than Open should have no ability to affect particular game features often come across as spiteful when they seek to restrict shared content to their preferred game mode.
Ok so no discount to LYR and you are ok with that. Noted. And funny.
There are more Powerplay benefits than LYR's discount - they'd need to go too.

It could hurt their feelings.
But there's a little tiny part where tells you what Power actually controls that. It could be unbearable for the Pg/solo player.
Which again assumes Open only Powerplay, which may be an inaccurate assumption.
