How many of you don't play anymore?

I play when I get the time to, was going to be on tonight but downloading the new client and update. So will not get on tonight to play, but will be on tomorrow night though.

I'm probably going to log in this weekend and check out 1.2. A buddy and I bought the game at the same time. We had a really hard time playing together so he quit about 5 weeks ago and I stopped 3 weeks ago. There may yet be water to squeeze from this stone.

Ok, maybe I can still be constructive. :p

Multiplayer is much improved. I did a lot of Wings testing in Beta and was always in the same instance as my wingmates, through many jumps, frame shifts and drifts out of range. It is working really well in this regard.

I stopped two weeks ago ... i am thinking of trying the new one but not very interested in multiplayer. It is like the reality TV of games from my point of view. And reality is not very well designed !!! I have a Python an ASP and 22 mil spare ...
It seems that 1.2 is quite fun for pew pew - maybe i will have a go ...

While we're at it - the screens that come in a starport - ya know the menu/commodities, etc. When the different screens come up or change they take like a second to do so and they flicker. I know this is for affect but by god I hate that flickering.

There. I feel better now.

You know you can turn that off in the graphics settings? It's something like 'disable gui effects'.

Later this week I'll update my client to 1.2 and may check it out.
Since my friends I brought in to buy ED after lauch have all gone after a short while I may not be that excited about wings though.
Hopefully commanders will spend more time playing the 1.2 version than it took FD to build it...

Well that's probably it. Been playing over the last week in order to buy that mean looking Vulture... then I saw that the price really was as ridiculous as the initial estimates suggested. I can't even be bothered updating now.

My main concern here is the way of the use of only Cr to upgrade.
I mean in some place whent you start to be frindly whith a faction or a aliance they should give you some reward, like close eyes on illegal thing you do,forgot Cr to pay on ilegal good, less security ship interdicton scan.
When you start to be more than a friend to an alliance then give you a discount on certain items for ships, upgrade they produce (in the hi techgrinding Cr. system) I hop FD dev will stop to make all available upgrades be only about
IMO we have to many ships in this game that few of us can only hope to get. Instead of buying it. We should have access to them by to do some alliance mission it serves the alliance you are in and make them more powerful in this region.
And contribute to the development of this region. By staying in this region and fit full there demand you get much reward. Do I have to continue until you see all the potential this game have.
IOP this game have so much to offer do I think we have to wait another few months to see how all the real stuff will start to be in and in a hope well done. I can also talk about graphic why all planets have to be a perfect circular ball (Do procedural creation have a limit to only base geometrical shape). The galaxy is about something we dint know and our next frontier.
I'm really disappointed with the fact FD art team have to work whit only procedural planet, please give us graphic variables on the systems in the galaxy. Now we only have the same sphere wit different texture does contribute to make the game boring Make my Galaxy life and regain my breath by amazing me. Instead of putting all FD graphic art teams to build ships. Unless it's the only thing they can do and let all the procedural things do the job!!!!.
So now I will give a try to the next update wit some hope.

I haven't really played in over a month. Partly because I was burned out after playing for countless hours since Beta 1 back in August, and partly because I was too busy playing Dying Light and FarCry 4. And when GTA 5 finally hits next month I'll probably won't touch ED for a loooong while. Hopefully it improves a lot in the meantime.

I'm playing more now actually thanks to learning the tricks of trading. I just wish I had more of my friends with me, but anything that isn't on steam is difficult to get them to play for some reason. That and my other friends are on consoles...(damn you cross platform, why must you be denied)

I haven't really played in a month or so. The recent combat community events and 1.2 beta actually got me excited about possibly playing again and getting involved in some group based PVP. However, the poor way the community goals have been handled (there should be goals on both sides of a conflict to encourage PVP instead of massively one-sided battles) and the truly insane pricing of the new combat ships now that the beta is over has basically crushed any desire I had to start playing more frequently again.

I barely play. Was really hoping 1.2 would bring me back with the new ships and ability to actually 'Play' with friends, but the cost of the Vulture, which I had been eyeing, is almost obscene for what it is, and thus I have really become very disinterested.

We need more 1-10mil cost ships. We don't need a stronger Viper for the price of a Clipper. It's not worth that cost, and many people have stated it. The ship is about as large and as fragile as a kitted Cobra, and the price should reflect that.

haven't played for a few months. Was enjoying mining except for the scooping part - thats the dumbest mechanic I've ever seen and totally annoys me, esp when you realise you can probably get more cr/hour from trading.

C'mon FD....FIX MINING. Make it more enjoyable/interesting....make it less tedious....make it worthwhile.

There are some points here I secretly dream about - and I would happily clear my save to see them coming...

Apparently, only half the people log into the forums now as well.
Close. Since the interest peaked week 2 of January (excluding launch date spike), we're seeing a 40% drop in forum activity.

That could also be interpreted as people playing more and more, so they don't have time to participate in the forum discussions. Wishful thinking..

Edit: The chart depicts number of unique posters per week, so the typo in the title made it misleading; "Posters by week" it should've said.

Anacondas have wings and I have lost all motivation to play. Rep be dammed as the contracts expire, I'm still left wondering why is it that every last "fun" aspect has been whittled down to some watery version to push an agenda.

Blaze your own trail as long as you stay on the path.

Cheers.

There's just really not much to the game if you're not interested in grinding for the sake of getting a more expensive ship to grind some more.
That's, unfortunately the way the game was designed to be played.

So much for the "richness of the experience"™...
