Without the option to look it up at the moment, I'd say about 30.
Yes there is a limit per station (IIRC its 31 unless they have updated the limit to match the number of new ships.)

ASP semi engineered for passenger missions
Anaconda fully engineered for PvE combat, bit of trading and material gathering
FDL fully engineered for PvP combat (gathering dust unused for 6 months)
Type 9 only FSD engineering and thrusters for wing trading and rare trading.
Going to buy another Conda and engineer lightweight for exploration.

I currently have 23 ships. The only ones I really fly are the DBx, ASPx, Python, Krait, iClipper and iCutter.

Definitely per station, I used to have hundreds before I sold most of my bookmark sidys, down to 52 now.
18 of my ships are map markers to indicate systems where I'm allied with a local faction. I'm still playing catch-up with map markers.

I have 10 Viper's to store a variety of class 1 & 2 weapons.
I have 6 ships I use regularly:
Corvette - combat
Chieftain - combat
Anaconda - module mule / LR explo
DBX - Mat's gathering, explo, module mule
Cutter - "D" rated trader
Cutter - "A" rate PvP system security

I've got to say that I really enjoy the time I spend in all of these ships, which is about even (probably not as much in the Conda though). Each has it's own character and when I'm using them I feel good that it is the very best ship for the task at hand.

15. I only fly 4 of them regularly though. I only fly the Corvette, Fer-de-Lance, Python and ASPx. Occasionally fly the Cobra but not recently.
8 of my ships are for module storage, some decommissioned for that purpose, some purchased. Some of my ships in service have similar roles to yours. I love the Jumpconda for module engineering.
TBH without a 'Conda for that purpose I doubt I'd have finished engineering anything!
I wonder of FD foresaw that use for the venerable Anaconda?
I only doubled up on a couple of ships: combat sidey and combat conda. It is tempting to have multiple weapon loadouts at the ready.

Dang... some you guys have a lot of ships! I have 8 and sometimes feel like it’s too many to manage.
