How many ships do you own?

dbx - long jump shuttle: switch blueprint, apply special effect to weapon, material collection, visiting gardian sites - these tasks are for it
corvette - nice tank, makes any CZ easier; just stand at haz res, pew-pew at incoming ships and collect materials - rather boring, did not use it for long time
clipper - blazing fast and maneurable, I adore it for this
fdl - I hate this ship how cockpit's cage overlaps distance to target, do not remember exactly why I bought it
krait - just tried this classic, nice flying hitbox
challenger - current battle ship, I guess this should be named "Alliance Clipper MK2".
type-10 - same role as corvette, but slower
Seems like all properly rated for their purpose.

And yes, I'm still happy with my 300+ capacity for stored modules.

I've FLOWN all of them bar the Beluga and the inaccessible-to-me Cobra IV.

Now I just own 7 - a Sidey, Viper IV, Cobra III, Orca, Krait II, Chieftain, and Cutter.

(I have a Dolphin but that's a temporary boat for going with the Gnosis to the Cone sector.)

5.

T9 - 640t big hauler for soloing wing trade missions, fully armed and armored, plus SLF. This hippo doesn't run, it charges. ;)
Courier - explorer, bubble taxi, jumps 37ly and does 813m/s in combat fit with A rated parts, 320mj shields with thermal mod, a full compliment of guns, SRV and an ADS.
Chieftain - Nothing kills better one on one.
Python - short hauls when company is expected
Corvette - When you just have to kill absolutely every m******* in the instance, nothing else will do. :)

24 today, 25 tomorrow :D The limit per station | starport is 35 (they say). I tried all of the ships except cobra 4 for 2+ years and came up with this setup after all. Generally, keep the fleet as small as possible.

1. iEagle. For it's cool. The one I use for Open. In Shinrarta.
2. Viper IV. Tough little ship.
3. Cobra III. No comment. Maxed out to top notch.
4. Courier. Fast. Not used much, but you never know.
5. DBX. The taxi plus. Jumps 62ly.
6. Dolphin. Because it's cool.
7. Vulture! Yep. The best. Fun ship. It has to be yellow. Forget both Cutter & Vette.
8. AspX #1. Took me to the Rift, the Conflux & beyond. My Heart & Soul :)
9. Orca. Well, you simply have to work sometimes.
10. Chieftain. It's a killer and I like it. Just have to findout why. Bought a ship kit for it, so it'll stay for the time being.
11. Challenger. Engineered to the max, but never tried. Feels redundant. Could be it will be replaced with the Crusader or sold altogether.
12. FdL. It was a slow love, but a deep one now. Nuff said. Razor silvered.
13. FGS. For scout killing. I really like the angular design, but could be the Crusader does better.
14. Krait II. No comment, see for yourself. My main ship.
15. Python #1. Nice and useful ship. Jack of all trades.
16. Conda #1. Jumps 72+ly and took me everywhere I'm proud of today.
17. Corvette. Deadly & effecticve, maxed out. Must have. Had 2, but found out one suffices.
18. Cutter #1. Genesis One, the trade hero.
19. Cutter #2. Ender's Game, the AX hero.
20. AspX #2. Southbound again. Supports the Pleiades Flotilla.
21. FAS. AX-build, Pleiades. Defends against Interceptors.
22. Python #2. You'll need one in the Pleiades.
23. Conda #2. Pleiades If the Python does not suffice, send in this one.
24. Cobra #2. You gotta have a Cobra at Colonia, in case everything else fails :)

Why only 600t in your T9? I know guys that get 750 something.

Actually I switch between two builds, one I use more often, 640T with 2500 armor and 35/35/40 armor resists, 2 MRPs AND a DUAL SLF hangar, for when I expect hunters in Anacondas, and if I need a bit more space (672t) I swap the 2 size 4 MRPs for cargo and have no module protection. I'll only do that if I'm expecting pirates, rather than assassins. Assassins are annoying and persistent, the best thing to do is kill them, and in a 720+ cargo whale, that isn't always easy, and winning interdictions over and over is not at all fun in a t9, lol. Being able to win a proper fight with an elite AI anaconda is more important to me than an extra 100t of cargo at the end of the day :)

Worth mentioning too I suppose is that it also has 230mj shields with 50/37/40 shield resists, and recharges in 30 secs, that's why the high armor and resists, it can stay in a prolonged fight even with a full cargo hold, shield just provides a regular heal. Since I'm sharing, my weapon loadout is all MCs, can't beat dakka dakka in pve, it might not be the most fun, but it is by MILES the most efficient. Use efficient mods on MCs and you can stay at 4-1-1 pips and fire all 6 all day (I go for overcharge cos I don't mind a bit of pip fiddling when needed).

Definitely per station, I used to have hundreds before I sold most of my bookmark sidys, down to 52 now.
Ah counting 'bookmark' sideys and 'taxi' sideys.
I think I have at least 1 of most other things . Missing a few of the newer ship types.
Probably about 50.

I don't sell ships very often, so the more expensive ones take a while to save up for.
I usually upgrade them, learn how to fly them and decide to go back to one of the following:-

Asp-E - Exploring and general purpose
Annaconda (still in the learning phase with this one) mainly a big cargo ship, but also used with minor refit for CZ's
T7 - set up for mining
sidewinders (built to order as needed) usually A rated, it costs so little.

4?
(1) Original Sidy parked somewhere long forgotten.
(2) Ol'trusty Cobra MkIII - still the main ship.
(3) A Cobra MkIV in a garage somewhere half dismantled wherever I bought it, as the local station didn't stock either PP or drive I wanted.
(4) T7 for pure trading, parked alongside the CMkIII (and for the view).

The limit per station is 33. I have one of every ship, plus 2 Corvettes, 3 Cutters and 2 Anacondas. I have to ship my erm ships out to the next system every time I buy a new one :)

All of this is a major factor why I use the cutter for trade/delivery missions. I can carry 720t and still kill any NPCs that come after me.

An even 30 (only 4 of which are sidewinders).

Only have a few dupe ships: 4 sidewinders, 2 cobra mk IIIs, 2 pythons, 2 cutters

When I bother playing, it's usually in the corvette, asp, python or cutter.

Technically the dbx has slighter better range than the asp, but the asp is my rocket ship in terms of speed so I use that for long range travel (resource harvesting, tip offs, buying new ships, that sort of thing). The cutter is primarily for CGs. Corvette does any and all combat, and also armed fetch quests. Twin pythons--one for mining, one for package delivery.

About 40. Mostly fully engineered and specifically designed to be optimal for certain roles. Includes a few general purpose ships though.
