How many ships do you own?

Question two.
How many of your fleet do you actually use, regularly?

Depending what you mean by "regularly", my answer would be all of them.

Thing is, I pick specific roles for specific ships and I have 3 separate "fleets" throughout the bubble so I don't have to transfer ships when I move from, say, fed space to imp space or to the Pleiades.

As a result of that, I've got 3 Annies which are all almost identical heavy-multirole ships - and they all get used regularly when I'm in that area.
I've also got 3 almost identical DBX runabouts, 3 AspX passenger ships, 3 AspX miners, 3 combat Corvettes, and 3 light Multirole Kraits which are all available for use whenever required.

Ironically, the ships which see least use are probably the ones I've spent most effort on; the "vanity projects".
I've spent ages fettling my Vulture so it's a pocket battleship and building my "Project Blackbird" Viper, iEagle and iCourier and none of them really see a lot of use.
To be fair, I did use my Viper regularly for doing Palin's "thargoid tat" missions but since FDev nerfed that it's not worth the effort.
Also, my iCourier has gradually gained weight (in the form of useful modules) to become a sporty long-range runabout but I usually use a DBX instead.

My main account:

iEagle (When I want to get my Luke Skywalker on)
Cobra MKIII (because... Cobra!)
iCourier (When I want to be the most fabulous ship in the Haz Res)
Diamondback Explorer (Have you TRIED to land at the Guardian Structures in something bigger?)
Asp Explorer (Not much it can't do)
Vulture (When I want to get my thug4lyfe on)
Python (240+T on medium pad - 'nuff said)

My exploration account:

iCourier (who bounty hunts in an Asp???)
DBX (obvious reasons)
AspX (more obvious reasons)
Type 7 (yeah, this was a mistake, lol)
iClipper (50+LY - God Bless the Guardians!)

Because I play Ironman mode. I only have 4 ships. I might buy a Third account.

2 accounts.

Main Account.

Anaconda Exploration
Cutter Combat/Trader
Krait Combat.

Secondary Account

Anaconda

One.

As indicated in my sig. I don't do fleets and my fast, nicely engineered Krait Mk II "Dawn Treader" meets all my needs. Wonderful ship.

It's great how laid-back the game is with only one ship to manage.

ASPX -> exploring
Chieftain -> i don't like it, I'll sell it soon
Vulture -> Combat, I've bought in some years ago after my Viper MKIII
FDL-> also Combat
Anaconda -> I'm building it up for exploration for Q4
Sidewinder -> a rebuild of my first ship
DBX -> for hopping through the bubble
Cobra MKIII -> smuggling & transport
T9 -> transport, of course
Krait -> I've bought it, I'm not 'warm' with her (?), yet
Viper MKIV -> combat in CGs (I always play in open)
Dolphin -> passengers, I'm not using it very often. Last time was for evacuate people from the attacked stations
Eagle -> stored in the California nebula (there was a CG some time ago).

Three of which I use regularly (Python, DBX & Type-9), the rest were bought for occasional specialist use i.e. a mining Type-10 and a Res site Krait. I do still have my original pre-release Cobra MkIII in storage though, from the 'Explorer' start option :)

I have a core fleet of 4 ships, and a couple for part time use.

Cobra III :- A rated and (legacy) engineered for combat. Its call FNS Ceolwulf and I use it for a bit of fun winged with my son who only has a Cobra III.

Asp E :- D rated and long range explorer build (legacy other than FSD and alien tech). 67ly jump range. FNS Alexander.

Krait II :- A rated combat / mat gatherer build. This uses legacy engineered mods from my old Python and the alien jump mod. 38ly range. About half way engineered with the new system. FNS Kashmir.

Anaconda :- A rated combat / mat gatherer. Again alot of legacy parts as I grind the new system. I have tried to keep it a light build. Its shield heavy. So a 42ly range with alien jump mod. FNS Agrippa.

My less used ships are;

DBX :- long range courier. 60ly range. I use sometimes to blat around the bubble, to collect a community goal or something. This is in the style of a "dropship" painted in tactical khaki, has "Marines" written on the side and has a C3 multi on the front like a Warthog.

Type 7 :- A full mining rig. 8 collectors and 4 mining lasers. This is well engineered I might add. Long range and light weight build. Dirty drives as well. FAS Geppard.

Python :- This was replaced by my Krait II. Its fully stipped down now. A shell of what it used to be. I have put some D rated internals I had (legacy mod) lying around. It still needs work. I will use this as a pure cargo ship when I get round to finishing it. It will be D rated and probably unarmed. But I do have some turreted engineered pulse lasers lying around I might put on it.

I could have way more, and have access to the Corvette. But I preffered the Anaconda, for the range.

I have flown and enjoyed in the past;

Viper III
Dropship
Fer de Lance
Type 6
Type 9

Adder
Cobra III
Diamondback Scout
Diamondback Explorer
Vulture
Asp Explorer
Fer de Lance
Python
Federal Corvette

So... 9. I sold lots of good ships which I had no use for. Most of them because I already own a Python, making them completely pointless

I forgot my Sidewinder! Nearly 800 m/s, fitted with a wake scanner, wide-angle sensors and shields. Gotta farm those datamined wake exceptions, amirite?

(It's a bit too fast actually, I've always shot past the wake before I can slow down)

Fit an engineered G5 long-range wake scanner, then park in the middle of a distribution center, no speed needed.

Slowing down, yes the bain of the dedicated wake scanner.

One of each except crusader and t7. All engineered. Also 3 extra anacondas and one asp and one cutter, all engineered. And some ships I use as storage (yes, still have that need).

Yea took kinda long time.
