If someone from Fdev streams themselves unlocking all the Guardian tech. I will eat my eye patch.

I admit I watched some gameplay footage of it with the sound turned off, and decided it wasn't for me. That's a researched opinion valid enough for me to make an informed purchasing decision. I'm happy with that decision and don't have any strong feelings about Sean Murray either way, other than people shouldn't get so upset with him about the video game. I may pick it up one day if it's ever going really cheap or bundled with something I fancy and I remember it exists, but I'm not watching and waiting.

I haven't any idea what you mean by scavenger hunts, as I must not have watched whatever video in which he probably said it would be cool and they would try to do that if possible. By not watching the video I don't feel that I'm missing out on anything, if I had watched the video I would probably have interpreted his words as being a plan not a binding promise.

I am an authority on knowing what games I like, don't like and go "meh" at. This is why I'm not upset about any video game purchases.

Yeah so as I just pointed out, you're clueless to what you're talking about as was pointed out a few posts ago. Nobody is interested in your opinion or mine, we're interested in resolving issues which in your world, don't exist with ED so why are you here, factually wrong and yet telling everyone else how they should be playing?

Stigbob, is a bigger waste of time than the Guardian Ruins, don't bother.

I've read over your post and it seems to lack any sort of coherent argument. The "stigbob smells because he's positive" guy was funnier.

Really where did you get that idea from ?. I've been saying opinions are just that since 2014.

As to telling people how to play anyone who plays a game they don't enjoy either doesn't understand the purpose of video games or is doing it wrong.

And what has this got to do with the Topic? I suggest to get back to the Topic, which is about repetitive monotonous gameplay regarding the aquisition of Guardian blueprints!

EDIT: And the whishes to see some Community-Managers in the livestream aquiring them.:D

Which you keep pointing out in a thread that has NOTHING to do with that and one you also have been shown to not understand at all. You're so wrong there's literally no point in discussing anything with you in here because you literally don't know what the subject is.

You haven't shown anything, you just keep repeating your opinions then complaining when I reply with my own.

Just put him on ignore. Nothing will come of this. It never has and never will.

I agree with OP completely.

Compare Warframe to Elite: Dangerous.

Both games are a grind; but the grind is chalk and cheese ( cheese is Warframe, cos it's tasty and fun. ED is chalk, dry; dusty and leaves a bad taste :p ).
I have over 1000 hours in Warframe, I'd be surprised if I've hit 200 in ED.

Warframe grind is fun, not only because it's important to keep your playerbase, but because the dev's play the game. They know when something doesn't work. I've leveled one of my Warframes 6 times (you can reset your Warframe back to 0 to make it stronger). They have devs who are hardcore and casual players alike of Warframe in their ranks; more importantly, they have designers, and leads who are not only passionate, but play the game as frequently as they spend working on it. Warframe's F2P model encourages grind, but it's done in a way to keep people interested. The more people play, the more money you can make.

Grind in Elite: Dangerous is busywork; designed to hide the fact there is not much else to do. It's simply not fun because the people designing it, whilst passionate, are not hardcore players, or even IMHO casual enough to experience some of their design decisions. There's a blatant disconnect between what the players want, how they want it and what Frontier want and how they want it; and it's evident by the content and decisions they make. Hell, what cosmetics they design and release is determined by their marketing team.

There's a difference between a developer who wants to make great games and make money doing it; and a developer who wants to make money by making a game.

Disclaimer: This is all my opinion. Speaking under correction.

It's not always fun in Warframe but I can leave the stupid stuff out and not end up like in ED leaving out playing the game altogether.

That's a very sensible suggestion for any of you who struggle to cope with people who have different opinions from you.

You really earned it now.

I'm sad to see that no one from Frontier has accepted this challenge yet. Can't say I blame them though, I don't want to do it either.

Considering no-one believes that the OP ACTUALLY has an eye patch to eat, there is no basis to a supposed challenge. OP promises something he cannot deliver on.

I would have thought there might have been some communication from at least one off the CM's even if it was just to quash the whole thing.

oh a side note...

Ohh look the nebula im heading to can now been seen in system..only 4k to go....what's all this about grind...i've just spent the better part of two hours hitting the J button the left mouse button, the left cursor key to open the system map going meh then hitting the J button again ...:p

I haven't shown anything...what? Another reply that doesn't make any sense. You've got it wrong this entire thread up until a couple of pages agao where you had to have it pointed out what everyone else was talking about.

As to my opinion...

Is repeating the EXACT same thing 18 times a good game mechanic or not that will take you 20 hours - a resounding and factual no.

You then reply "But don't do it all at once!" which sounds ridiculous because nobody is talking about that and in fact, we want the Devs to experience this for themselves as they think it's that good. So when you say that I'm talking opinion, I can't believe you because you've been so wrong in this thread it's clear you don't know what you're talking about so how can you then tell me I'm not talking facts?

How much experience in gaming do you actually have?
