If you could only have ONE ship.......

If I'm only allowed one, then it's a tossup between my Corvette and my Anaconda. Depends how important jump range/deadliness is.

If I'm only allowed one that can do outposts, Python and it's not even close. The Python is so ridiculously good at everything that it demonstrates how lacking the mid-sized ship range is. You can pick a Viper or a Cobra or a Vulture, all good things. You can pick a Cutter, Vette or Conda, again, nothing wrong. In that middle bit. FGS? Nope. Orca? Single minded but nope. Python the only one to go for.

But I'd probably fly the Corvette.

if it was a matter of life and death i would dearly miss the eagle and the viper, and would have to jump heavy hearted into my fer de lance ... no choice, really.

If I had a choice from ALL of the Elite ships I have owned, it would have to be the Thargoid Scout Ship from First Encounters.

Only one ship? Well it has to be my multi purpose Imperial Cutter - decent jump range, can defend itself, has my NPC crew member - and it looks fabulous.

If I could choose any ship I would take a Majestic-class Interdictor, best firepower while not (yet) attracting Thargoids. If I have to choose one from my fleet probably my Cutter, but I would most likely stay inside a the Starport and hope they won't notice as the jump range is ... not ideal for running away quickly enough.

Well I'm far out so I probably would need to stick with my current ship, the Courier. If the Thargoids would wait a while till I'm back and switching ships I would go for either the T9 or the Dropship, a hard choice. Probably T9.

No question... My Battle Cutter. Fully spec'ed for combat, she still has 34ly jump range, can still carry more cargo then a python outfitted this way, and well, it's just plain damn sexy looking!

After reading the whole thread one could come to the conclusion that the variety of ships is almost perfect: No meta, no "this is definitely THE best ship", there are just a few ships missing like ASP-S, Cobra MK4 or Sidewinder. These ships have their lovers too, but obviously not chosen if only one ship is allowed. Just awesome! :)

I've looked at the Asp-S and I just can't come to keeping one. To me it is a more expensive Cobra MK 3 that is extremely slow but has a lot more cargo space. I'd love to have a Cobra MK 4, but I got Horizons a few days too late so I can't comment. (I'd guess I'd like it, as it's much like the difference between the Viper MK 3 and 4 on paper. And performance wise I love the Mk 4 over the 3 there) As for the Sidewinder, I feel it's a good ship but it just can't do everything I'd want to do. I did read in another thread with a similar topic that a few players are thinking of the old Sidey due to its extremely low rebuy, as the thought is if you are stuck fighting Thargoids you might as well make it as cheap for yourself as you can.

Only ONE ship... Well that pretty much rules out any of the Large ships as that would negate docking at any outposts...

PYTHON

Best all around medium size ship....

I hope FD aren't reading this.

The Python is gonna get slapped with another nerf bat otherwise. Lol

(Please don't! Just make a contender for it!)

I'd have to go with my Python. She's fully A rated and ready to rock. My Cutter is still fairly new, and needs a lot more work yet, so she's not quite ready for prime time.

Current build on the Python has me with 240T of cargo, discovery and surface scanners, and a decent setup on weapons for RES hunting, so I wouldn't be hurting for things to do. :D

There's nothing wrong with the Python, it just happens to be the largest multipurpose that can land on a medium pad, and has the price tag to show it. It's just the Annie of medium ships.

At the moment, my Vulture. I've spent a lot of credits on this thing thus far, and I'm loving how it gets things done. It also has a jump range which isn't incredibly annoying to work with, and can carry a bit of cargo if needed.

I'm quite sure there's better ships to be had, but since I'm not yet insanely rich, this is the ship I would be taking.
