Disclaimer: My knowledge is limited and might be incorrect.
We had a lot of advantages on our side. The first base discovered last night was found after 5 days of searching a planet. So that one shouldn't be a surprise.
The three bases after that had a system name and also a good bit of luck.
A few things that helped:
It never was a single person searching, so we increased our odds.
The bases were conveniently placed close to significant landmarks, like craters and such.
That's also how the last system was corrected. Someone noticed a large crater on A 2 B and said: hey, that looks just like a place they would put a base. How about we check out that crater?
I know that I cannot prove that this wasn't done using inside info, but I want to give some context. Some of the people who discovered bases have been searching things like this before and knew what technique works.
Also: While I disagree with you, I think that the hostility shown is unjustified and hope it will be dealt with.
Right, thank you! That's all I wanted to hear - now we know you guys spent 5 days on one planet before anything new was found, that sounds believable, especially the finds after because of craters/improved search criteria.
Good work
