International Union of Zoos (Roleplay)

Wildlife Preservation at Amundsen-Scott Station (short "ASZ" for Amundsen-Scott-Zoo) in Antarctica would like to join.

Due to climate change the ice started to melt right below our feet at the old location, so we had to move and rebuild our zoo completely. Of course we saved the animals first and we're happy to inform you, most of them have moved already into their new homes. Right now our construction workers are busy building a nice house for our Polar Bears.

Of course, since we're in Antarctica, our main focus is on animals from the deepest Tundra. But we have heated cabins everywhere around the zoo for the guests to warm up and we'd also like to welcome you in our Cat House (Don't ask, the manager loves cats).

If you want to visit us, please keep in mind that shorts and sandals aren't recommended. For some reason we have plenty of people arriving in summer-wear and while we can make almost every guest's wish come true, we can't change the south pole's temperature. For those who still insist on arriving in t-shirts, we have some complaints books though. (We don't read them... we heat our cabins with them).

Sincerly
B. Ritches from ASZ

I logged in a new zoo!

Bad Erzeburg, Lower Saxony, GER
(The city doesn't exist, I hope that's ok. I didn't want to take a city that already existed)

You will hear from me!
Wait, is it Bad Erzenburg Zoo? Or like what’s the zoos name 😅

I absolutely love the snarkyness in your writing. I can tell you, we at Unity also expirienced some ... special guests.
At the moment the work on our main zoo is still in full swing, but Unity plans to start a branch Zoo (Unity of americas) in the not so far future. Would it be possible to work together with the ASZ to take in captive bred offspring or rescues and whatnot from North and South America from you?

Hello Unity,

thanks for your kind request. Of course ASZ is happy to work together with you. We have special breeding programs for our animals and while we're trying to release the majority of them back into the wild, we trade animals to zoos all over the world as ambassadors and for conservation projects.
Just tell us what animals you're interested in and we will be happy to cooperate.

Avalon Zoo is unveiled in Switzerland

Geneva's much-anticipated attraction, Avalon Zoo, is set to welcome visitors as it plans to open its gates for the first time. With the support of patrons and city lawmakers, Avalon Zoo stands as a testament to the harmonious coexistence of animals and humans. Founder Clarissa Fischer reflects, "I'm incredibly proud of how far this project has come. From day one, I always believed this could be a place where animals can thrive, and we can help educate others."

Nestled in the serene landscapes just beyond the city, Avalon Zoo promises captivating habitats from Rainforest Pavilions to Desert Oases. Director Emilia Morgan, the guiding force behind this immersive experience, invites visitors to join a journey of discovery, emphasizing our shared responsibility for the planet's preservation.

The grand opening on November 28th will let guests explore the wonders within, with festivities including guided tours and the debut of the zoo's innovative breeding program. Chief Conservation Officer, Dr. Malik Patel, spearheads this transformative initiative, bolstered by a partnership with the International Union of Zoos. He said, “In a move towards global collaboration, we are proud to announce our membership in the International Union of Zoos. I have hope that this affiliation will help with our commitment to upholding global standards in animal care, in addition to the many benefits it will bring to our breeding program.” As Avalon Zoo opens its doors, it signals a commitment to global conservation, education, and a shared vision for a sustainable future.

Finally got access to my game again so i can show you guys some great photos of my zoo I'd bee working on.

Welcome to The Alps Wildlife Park. A zoo filled with many species of mountainous and temperate animals. Our first Area I's like to show is The entrance to our wonderful zoo. The entrance plaza is themed after European wildlife that is natively found within the nearby Alps where the zoo rests. From here you get a view of some of the beautiful gardens, as well as our newt nd salamander exhibits on the left followed by a look at the alpine Ibex habitat on the right.

Speaking of the Ibex let's get a closer look at their exhibit,

Next up along the road is the zoos special combined exhibit for native butterfly species and the eccentric European fallow deer. Our butterfly species (which consist of Monarch and Old World Swallowtail varieties are housed within a greenhouse that the deer can freely enter and leave from. As well as that, the deer also have their own exterior portion of the habitat. This areas low fences which enable guests to be able to feed these majestic creatures with samples provided by our staff (really wish they could actually do this in-game, it'd be awesome).

Most beautiful zoo with the craziest guests!

Thank you very much! We told the guests a thousand times not to arrive in summer wear. They won't listen x( But as long as they love to see our animals while complaining about the weather, it's okay.
Look, B, I think you should focus more on preventing guests from swimming in the pool y'all have over summer wear
