I did explain this.
My issue was the title.
It didn't represent well what was said in the title and was misleading.
Not everyone watches vids but the headlines were misleading and drama for clicks. And not for the first time either.
And please don't speak on my behalf. You really have no idea.
I just tend to listen, you should try that some time and work things out for yourself.

I sure hope it is. Maybe something new can be born of it or something can take its place.

Also, to see this community turn on OA for his own opinions while still reporting the facts as they are for the development of the game is a testament of how this community will eventually implode.

@Obsidian Ant - A little advice is that you should just stop making Elite videos and focus your attention on SC, MSFS, etc. This game and its community aren't even worth your time anymore as a lot of content creators have moved on months ago. If you keep making vids, I commend you for continuing to wade through this steaming pile.

Well, if we're doing that then less doom titles that make the game look bad.

This forum actually represents a pretty small sliver of the player community these days. Just check out the comment section of one of OA's ED videos and you'll see that the five anti-ants (maybe just call them antis for short) who live here are just a drop in the bucket when it comes to people with "opinions" about Ant's content.

OA expects ppl to watch his vids but ppl take a lot from headlines. Everyone does it.
It was heavy on the doom.
It's not hard yet we don't see this on the regular news, there's always a bit more info for good reason..
It was drama, and misleading.

OA, as a youtuber, is doing youtube. Let the man youtube. If you think OA's level of integrity is bad you must not have seen many youtube channels, and I include his most recent videos.

The youtube videos of other games I follow that are in news lulls right now are basically a constant stream of bull from a bunch of bull artists.

It doesn't really matter but i was questioned thoroughly.

You really don't understand how headlines work do you?

It wasn't 'heavy on the doom' - a long-established exploration resource is shutting up shop. End of an era.

What 'regular news'? Do you mean Fox News? Or any tabloid newspaper anywhere? Hyperbole sells.

It wasn't drama, or misleading. As stated above, it's the end of an era for an exploration resource.

Yes. Tbh it really seems like it’s where all the disgruntled people go to complain. It’s kind of baffling. There’s a lot of games I don’t really like. I don’t spend all day on their forums writing essays about how the game is doomed or whatever. Never thought I’d say it but the Reddit sub is actually a lot less negative these days. Also more fluff and memes though, which is the down side.

Hey guys! Greetings from Hawking's Gap, a big region full of mysteries just next door! Just a little quick renewal since I've noticed the description is a bit off with grammar, spelling, and the cohesion of the text in addition to some broken/old links. I'll also include some recent Odyssey...

It's not going to be wiped, but no new entries, it went to maintenance mode on 1st of may.

Had an addition to the project in mind, but that isn't ready yet, so I may one day submit it into Orvidius' new Galactic POI project.
If that's still around then. :)

As a player if you set out to do what they did then perhaps in 10yrs time you too would be saying “well that’s that folks”. Hardly doom, hardly “inch wide mile deep”. I would say not bad for £50 game.

On the “is it EOL/Maint mode” seems to me at least we are headed for a thargoid invasion, the story has been building for weeks and is soon going to come to a head. Personally hoping for onfoot as well as expecting full on ship wars in the bubble. So no not dead, entering a new and exciting chapter.

Sorry, I have never used the resource, never even knew it existed, but have still managed to tour over a million LY on one account, and around the same distance on the other 2 combined, maybe my not professing to be an "Explorer" has saved me from this great loss?

Huh, not sure how you came to that conclusion. At 4:11 in the video Obsidian Ant explains its the end of an era for some community initiatives, not exploration.

Its funny how OA gets hammered for his video titles when certain posters on here are as equally guilty for sensationalizing their comments and posting things that are way out of context themselves.
