That's simply not true. We can even stick with OA as an example. Watch any of the earlier Elite videos and you'll struggle to find a single bad word about the game or Frontier.I am unsure if I should find this slightly offensive.
It's not just OA. All of the YT content creators' audiences thrive on being fed negativity at the worst or serious backseat development at best. Everyone of the creators knows so much better how to develop the game and constantly pushes that agenda ("FDEV bad"), because in general their YT audience (at least the part that is counted as "engaged" by the algorithm) demands being told how bad Frontier is at developing and running their game. In the end, they all are slaves to the algorithm, by which they open themselves up to being criticized. Criticizing what people say or do isn't the same as "hating".
Frontier benefited immensely in the early days from his free PR. It's not a coincidence the community picked the name Obsidian Orbital when given the chance to name a station (contrary to what some say, it wasn't OA himself who requested that name out of hubris).
