Hi Frontier,
I thought long before writing this post, I already know that I will attract the hate of most of the people who wrote here, but honesty comes first for me, and frankly this whole issue is a soap bubble.
Why do I say this? About 20 people are the "promoters" of this initiative. People who do not know English and who do not even want to try to learn it.
20 people who have passed themselves off as "the Italian Elite Dangerous community" and who do not represent for sure any of the Italian players of this wonderful game, if not themselves.
They opened a petition on change.org, and they called everyone who could, even people who did not buy Elite, nor will they ever buy it.
Most of the signatures on the petition come from there: from sites that talk about videogames that have called all their users to sign up to "help the Italian community to have ED localized in Italian".

No one has proposed to work with Frontier to have a localization in Italian, as other groups of non-English players have already done: here these people claim that Frontier works specifically to translate the game for a few people who do not know English (and you Frontier is very well known how many Italians we are ...)
This fact is already shameful, not to mention the puerile arguments of those who started this petition:
I read sentences like "Frontier had promised!" or "I also paid the French translation of the game by buying the game!" "Frontier is in debt with me! "... in short, as you have certainly understood, these people are at levels of bored children.
And not only that: some of them have even asked people who play Star Citizen to sign the petition, knowing full well that those people will NOT buy now and ever Elite Dangerous.

I am Italian, as I said at the beginning of the post, but the modalities and arguments of this request not only disqualify the average Italian player (who knows English, or at least try to understand) but also disqualifies Italians in general: we are not whining children.... artificially inflating the numbers of a petition indicates only dishonesty at the highest levels, and especially the arguments used in this thread are shameful ...
Then we complain that the Italian abroad is always seen as a dishonest, a mafia guy, cares only about himself, eats pizza and plays the mandolin intoning "o sole mio" ... behaving so these people give it the certainty.
Of course, the game would be more enjoyable in Italian, but the ways and the arguments of this request are shameful. I propose to collaborate rather, and without demanding anything with bored children's phrases ...
Frontier, I have some questions:
- Do you have localization in Italian?
- Can we help you do it?
- Are there substantial and financial problems in making this hypothesis real?
-What does it take to make this real?
Frontier, thanks again for the work you are doing. And i apologize again with all Frontier forum\devs staff who must relate to this type of people.
