Tonight, we finally got to see the last five episodes of Season Three. I will say, compared to the last half, this other half was WILD.
With the group now split up and divided, Ben and Gia still come up with a big plan. He, Yaz, and Darius will go after Brooklyn in Malta, while Kenji and Sammy take a flight back to the USA with Smoothie to reunite him with his mom, Bumpy.
While in Malta, Davi tries more to expose Soyona and Biosyn, but is also putting himself in danger in the process. Brooklyn, trying to keep things undercover, makes Davi believe she's sold her soul to Soyona. Meanwhile, the three who decided to follow her, while attempting to infiltrate the black market, eventually stumble upon her. This time, she dearly requests their help, which they are always ready for.
During their mission to stop Soyona, Dominon's events in Malta begin to happen such as the Atrociraptors being brought forward to sell, Soyona doing her hair, and the raid when Barry, Owen and Claire (the latter two who aren't seen nor heard). It reveals what happened to both Barry and Soyona too after their last appearances in Dominion. Brooklyn, while helping out the guys on her own, stumble across the Handler once more, who set up a trap to take out Davi who has been spotted by the enemy and tries to expos her by making a deal to help the latter return her Atrociraptors, but is unsuccessful in doing so.
Chaos ensures on the surface. The Amber Clave's dinosaurs, including the Allosaurus from earlier, breakout, as well as several locust swarms by Biosyn. The dinosaurs reach the surface and begin attacking the civilians. After finding and teaming up with Davi before the incident but after being saved by Brooklyn which makes him trust Brooks again, the three guys split up to rally the dinosaurs into the catacombs to contain them while the others find Barry who was caught in a cage bomb explosion shortly after cornering Soyona in Dominon's events (the last scene they were both ever seen in the movie). Another tie-in is Ghost coming out of an alley soaking wet, because he was dropped into the sea in Dominon's Malta chase sequence.
Soyona attempts to flee from Malta via helicopter from an extraction point in an arena, but not without a final showdown. Betrayed by Soyona's earlier actions in this season after disobeying her, the Handler duels Soyona until her three raptors arrive, and gains Red's trust to control four Atrociraptors now. But Soyona has an unexpected backup plan: A trained Carnotaurus, and it's the same one seen in Dominion's Malta sequence! The Carnotaurus and Atrociraptors engage in battle, resulting in the Carno actually killing Ghost for good, much to the Handler's sadness. She attempts to do what she did to Red with the Carno, actually speaking out her first and only audible word. Because she fails. She is killed and eaten by the Carno, and the remaining Atrociraptors retreat, never to be seen again in this season.
Darius and Yaz arrive in time and Brooklyn ingenuously stall Soyona long enough for Barry, Ben, and Davi to arrive to tranq her Carnotaurus and arrest her where Brooks finally reveal her true intentions to her. All this time, Brooklyn has been playing a long game to successfully bring Soyona into custody. And just as the latter attempts to attack herm Brooks smacks her away with her prosthetic which she disposses of for good, which was also where she cleverly kept a hard drive data backup of evidence from her phone.
Brooklyn is now happy again, and the trio who came for her finally learn the truth from her. Soyona may have been taken down, but Biosyn is still out there. They are the ones responsible for the creation of the trained Atrociraptors and plenty of others of the same species. Now together again, the happily reunited four guys hop onto the automated chopper drone to head for Biosyn.
Soyona Santos is by far the most dangerous adversary the Nublar Six ever faced. She was brilliant ruthless, and she would not hesitate to kill every single one of them. But, in the end, she was no match for Brooklyn's intelligence.
Meanwhile, Kenji and Sammy, along with Smoothie, attempt to catch a plane to the US with Gia driving them. Unfortunately, a twist takes an unexpected turn that makes them stay longer. In the ending of episode 5 of this season, the captured Pyroraptor escapes its containment truck, and they encounter it once more, as well as a seldom rogue locust.
The Pyroraptor heads straight to a skiing resort, where the guys try to draw it away from. While chasing the thing down the snowy hills, it reveals it can not only swim in water as seen in the films, but it can also burry and "swim" beneath the snow as well! They were successful in driving it away and, more importantly, with no casualties. The Pyroraptor, by using a tracker they found on a Biosyn datapad in the raptor's truck, has retreated to an area close to their location: Biosyn Sanctuary.
This confirms the Pyroraptor is a Biosyn creation, as pure feathered dinos have feathers. It is also where they guys realize it came from in the first place. At the same time, however, not only did they miss their flight back home, Bumpy isn't home either. She too has been captured by Biosyn and taken her to the valley. Now, Kenji and Sammy with Smoothie arrive at the very edge of the valley, with the compound in sight.
It feels incredibly good to know Brooklyn is now free of her hardcore undercover business and with Darius, Ben, and Yaz not only finally getting together again, but also learning they were right in saving her and her not being a traitor by heart. It is now only a matter of time for Kenji and Sammy to know as well and, hopefully, have Sammy and Yaz rekindle their romance once the former learns the actual truth of what her girlfriend and the other boys know now.
This season may have ended, but this journey of the Nublar Six is still far from over. A fourth season has been long confirmed by one of the marketing guys at the New York Toyfair from earlier this year when promoting the new Jurassic World toys. More specifically, coming out some time after Jurassic World Rebirth's release.
