Jurassic World Evolution 2: Cretaceous Predator Pack and Update 8 coming 30 November

Loving all this.

I don't get why people are so excited for bins though? GIVE US WATERFALLS!

For future DLC / Updates can we get:

A species viewer whilst in game so we can sample skins before creating in the lab?
Deeper water tool / natural lagoon tool.
Steeper landscape tool / cliff edge landscaping tool. I want to be able to sculpt a steep ravine.
Glass fencing.
Ability to colour fences. Concrete fencing in particular as I'd like to be able to camouflage them a bit better.
Ability to alter lights colour on all buildings - not just amenities.
A better dome viewing gallery (land and lagoon) without the bars - the bars ruin the illusion (same for the log tunnel). The regular viewing gallery doesn't have bars to obstruct the view.
Feeder incorporated into the Amphitheatre that can release a goat on a click.
Helicopter tour.
Dinosaur viewing status from paths - guests do have eyes!
Aviary domes of different heights that can "lock together". A new medium and large one. The current size is too small for the Quetza.
Better aviary decorations... tall, natural rock / cliff formations for perching.
Bring back paleo feeders.
Better herd migration.
Better flock migration when being hunted.
Better hunting animations in general - like stalking prey through tree lines or waiting in ambush behind rocks.
Intelligent hunting / positioning like driving a herd towards an ambush.
Fights / social scenes between different species of herbivore. Like if a Trike gets too close to an Anky... Trike gets a tail whip.
More skeleton displays. A Mosasaur skelly would be cool!
Guest bridges.
Vehicle bridges.
Size variation on individual species. 100% = full size / 80% = adolescent / 50% young animal.
Natural fish in rivers - again... deeper rivers. Obviously, coding would need to be done to prevent smaller dinos walking into too deep a water level. But come on?! We're in the height of next gen gaming.
The invisible fence should be invisible! Like an underground fence. The invisible barrier that prevents dinos from crossing it should also be vertical so as to stop flying dinos passing them - this would help with species territory control and so they don't attack guests.
Obviously, more and more dinosaurs!!! The more the merrier!!!

Maybe a lot of these things could be included in JWE 3 if there were ever such a sequel. As amazing as this game is, there is a lot that could be focused more into the dino behaviours because once I've built a park there really isn't much else to do with it. If the animals had a much greater plethora of social / behavioural / hunting / grazing animations it would make for a much better end product and I'd spend hours just in the park watching them "be".

There's so much goodness about this game but soooo much more Frontier could add still to keep the excitement going (way more than bins and benches imo). I literally spend hours on it.

The park management system still needs tweaking for guess distances on restrooms, shelters and transport too. Guests should really be able to walk further distances. If I'm going to see dinosaurs - I'm walking as long as it takes to get to see one.

I do love this game but I would also love for it to be elevated to even greater heights! There is still so much untapped potential here.

I don't post in forums much so before I get shot down (which tends to happen online a lot) just consider how cool all these additions would be.

I wouldn't get your hopes too high, according to the financial reports (covered in Evo Square's videos), Either this is going to be the last bit of DLC we are going to get, or we are only getting one more after this (somewhere between February and March). Si if the latter is true, we can only suspect ONE more free update, and if the former is true then this is the last update and DLC for the game and Frontier is going to move on to other projects.

Now I could be completely wrong and we could get DLC all throughout 2024 and into 2025, but don't count on it.

Last ever Jurassic Park build game ever then. No JWE 3. Sad times.

let's hope it really will be in the game

This screenshot seems to confirm that Gigantoraptor is an omnivore in the game.

At this point in time with the release of the Cretaceous Predator and Marine Species pack, I believe it all but officially confirms that the other animals featured in Camp Cretaceous are going to be drip-fed via other species packs; Smilodon via some sort of prehistoric Cenozoic species pack and Spinoceratops via either a hybrid pack or even an omnivore species pack.
While I kinda doubt Smilodon will ever get added, since it's such a different animal compared to everything else in the game. If it were to be added... It would kinda make sense to put it in a Cenozoic pack so that players can put it with other animals that fit with it. A pack with Smildon, maybe mammoth, and two other animals could make for a cool pack. Heck, they could even add Otodus megalodon, since that seems to be the most popular Cenozoic request. Though I still think it's kinda unlikely.

If we get more movies and series (what I wouldn't like), maybe we´ll can get a JWE3, this time only on the new gen platforms, so we can have more complex new features, that would be awesome! Considering how well JWE2 is doing, I wouldn't expect a sequel anytime soon, but it's an idea for the next 2 or 3 years, maybe 5 years i suppose

Honestly, I think that dinosaur behavior in general needs an upgrade, more kinds of social interactions, sauropod defense and fights, herbivore buffs and different outcomes for combats and hunts. A greater variety of sounds would also be welcome (at least for the species in the movies).

I doubt that they'd end JWE 2 after only 2 years if the game is still making a good profit. PlanZo has lasted 4 years, potentially hinting at a 5th year. PlanCo lasted 3. JWE 2, I believe, will receive at LEAST 1 more year. It should, as there are still many requests for future expansions/DLCs, animals, build sets, and free update features

Yeah, I agree. That's why I said I wouldn't expect a sequel anytime soon, JWE2 is doing well, the last updates are really nice!

As much as I enjoy Evo's content - they could do much more to voice for bigger and better content than just trash cans and seating. Sure, I'll take it, but Dinosaurs and their behaviour and habitat should be the major focus - not decorations. Evo has a huge following and they obviously have some influence on the game - Frontier would be ignorant to not pay attention to what they do. I just think that the YouTube platform could be used to generate much bigger and better things. But hey... I'm a lonely voice in the void of an online forum where nothing I say will have any impact :) This franchise has way bigger appeal and following, and for me at least... more advanced landscaping tools, natural lagoons and waterfall features, varying size of aviaries, all the aforementioned improvements I made in my last post... well, they would vastly improve the game.

I don't see any reason why Frontier wouldn't want to include some of the awesome suggestions I (and many others) have made. It would make the game so much better and as long as the fanbase continues to support it then why not ask for more.

Imagine if 250K people all agreed with such comments - Frontier would have to listen to that, right? Or maybe I'm just too late to this forum and the ship has sailed and the game is dying a slow death with no chance of a heavy revival.

Well, yes and no. I'm part of the PlanZo community, so it's a bit different, but both communities have some similarities. People want realism, as realistic as reasonably possible.

In the case of JWE 2, people wanna make authentic, realistic dinosaur theme parks, so decorations are essential for that. They bring spice to the game and can make a basic park look like a Jurassic Park. The Frontiers team is limited, so we won't get every single thing we want every DLC. But, I've noticed that the pattern is that they tend to add new animal/dinosaur behavior per free update, plus decorations or buildings per update.

The team sees our wants, so they will bring many things we ask for

imagine if the Utahraptor was the star dinosaur of Jurassic Park but had feathers instead of velociraptor. The Utah raptor is definitely going to be my Velociraptor going forward and I'm going to be using the Utahraptor more often.😁

Utahraptor was 23 ft in length and weighed as much as a polar bear and was much bigger than the Velociraptors seen in Jurassic Park which were only 18 ft in length. This species even believed to have coexisted with Acrocanthosaurus.

That's all good and well but they should be an essential element after the Dinosaurs and their habitat. I have some experience using 3D design software and let's face it... a cylinder is not hard to do.

My personal opinion (and it's all on good faith - I'm not trying to shut anyone down. I'm actively trying to encourage Frontier even more to keep this game going) is that they should be giving us everything we want and ask for. Why wouldn't they? We're paying customers who love this game. There is literally thousands of things they could continue to improve and I'm sure they would all be within their creative license and skill to do so.

Exactly. Better to get it now than later. Imagine if we didn't at all
they should be giving us everything we want and ask fo
Something that Frontier tries to do. If y'all go to the Planet Zoo forums, y'all will see countless comments about Frontier listening to the needs and wants that people demand. Animal tag updates, requested species, etc.
The CMs even stated that they read our comments as well as check out the meta-wishlists that we have (animal wishlist and update wishlist), and they pull ideas from those.

So, Frontier is gonna fill in some more requests..I don't doubt that. Yeah, there are some strange things, like no Microceratus (or updating the Malayan tapir, in our case), but all in all, they tend to listen to feedback and build a better game with it

Oh yeah, many people seem to forget just how big utahraptor was, so it's going to be interesting see it compared to JP's velociraptor

Keep in mind though, Frontier did add Pteranodon as the previous game's only species of pterosaur.

And I will be honest, for quite a long time as much as I wanted the Hidden Adventure Tarbosaurus to be in JWE2; I thought that it had very little to no chance of being added. After all it was only featured in a non-canon interactive special and otherwise looked too similar to Tyrannosaurus to have much of a chance.

But now that Frontier have added it, I personally find that the chances of Frontier adding the remaining two species from Camp Cretaceous have increased significantly.
