Launcher is not launching the game

MinEDLauncher is still capable of launching the game, so the game is not quite dead yet, only the frontier launcher, apparently.
Probably they tried to put a Panther Clipper on the launcher which crushed it to death.
Getting this with mini launcher

The Readme clearly says Epic users have to change files:
Ah, so you must rename the launcher for Epic - fair enough. I was assuming the Steam install was the same.

Still though, its all relatively harmless. I can understand people not wanting to mess with the files and thats fair enough - but for those of us too impatient to wait, the mini launcher works just fine.

I'm playing right now, using the mini ed launcher with Steam.

well it good to know that Im not the only one, and I have multiple accounts.
so far I tried 3 and none work.
I have rebooted.
uninstalled and then installed.
rebooted internet.
Verifying files within the launcher also gets stuck at 0%
nothing seems to solve the problem.
hope Frontier can fix this quick

For those with System.NotImplimentedException errors, please make sure you have both quotation marks at the end of the steam launch option command line

Yeah i could not fathom the aggressive tone of the person that responded to you.

Takes all sorts i guess. The gaming world brings out the worst in some!
hopefully that wasn't aimed at me as I certainly was not trying to be agressive.

am not gonna download any 3rd party launchers or anything to play. if it works for others that is great but I will just wait till a proper fix is out.

I have only just had my ban lifted after being (falsely) flagged for cheating using modified code

Did you follow the readme fully?

I only ask because that's the same error I got when i just blindly tried to run the launcher without setting it up correctly first.

Good luck!
Can you please explain what I'm meant to do for Epic then. This is what it said, it's very complicated but I tried to follow it:

1. Download the [latest release] for your operating system

2. Extract executable from the zip/tar archive

3. Place MinEdLauncher in your Elite Dangerous install location so that it's in the same folder

as EDLaunch.exe.

* Epic Client

1. Delete or rename EDLaunch.exe (e.g. EDLaunch.exe.bak)

2. Copy and rename MinEdLauncher.Bootstrap.exe to EDLaunch.exe. This step is required because

Epic doesn't allow changing the game's startup application. If someone knows how to modify the

game's manifest file (EliteDangerous/.egstore/*.manifest), this could be avoided. Please open

a [new issue] if you can help with this. This also means any time the game updates or you verify

your game files, you'll have to replace EDLaunch.exe with MinEdLauncher.Bootstrap.exe.

3. Update your launch options to auto start your preferred product

1. Click Settings in the Epic Games Launcher

2. Scroll down to the Manage Games section and click Elite Dangerous

3. Check Additional Command Line Arguments

4. Set the value to /autorun /autoquit /edo

4. Launch your game as you normally would in Epic

Sorry, I haven't actually set it up for Epic myself - only Steam.

Can someone else chime in here and help Farkymole out with the Epic setup?

EDIT: Seems it might be fixed now anyway?
