So what happened? All of a sudden my system changed influences and the expanding faction is down now to 1%.

Ninja patching on the server? :D

Does it mean it is fixed? Fingers crossed :)

Thanks for the updates. I know it's not the done thing to give an ETA, but it seems for this particular element of gameplay it'd be good to know. The politics of systems being changed by us and grouping up together seems like there's a large amount of gameplay in it, but at the moment we're just left thinking 'one day' it'll be fixed, tomorrow or in 2 months time.

No - it means that some have been processed.

Michael

Which I guess it means we can actually keep working on trying to influence these systems and that even if we don't see any progress right now, eventually you will process our missions?

I'll take it. :)

I had stopped working on my system due to the known issues but if this is the case I'll get back to it.

The two key issues that we've identified are being worked on, but we don't have the solution yet. I would estimate that it's a matter of days, rather than weeks though.

While I feel a weird mix of pessimism and optimism about the state of the game at the moment, I can definitely say it comforts me to see a dev that is passionate enough about the game and the community to interact with it. Its not something you see everyday.

The game I intended on playing may be at a standstill at the moment, but I know it won't be for too long. Thanks for the bug fix. I know it didn't completely solve my problem, but someones problems were solved, and thats good enough for me.

Keep the passion you displayed in the kickstarter videos, and even if the game is different, I know it will be in the right place.

Edit: Oh, sounds close to a fix then.

Part of the reason I've been feeling bad about it is because mentally I was bracing for "months". Weeks and days is a pretty awesome response considering.:D

Agreed! I'm sure that the FD team can see that our campaigns have momentum that could quite easily be lost, and it does feel like they're working hard on both the implementation and the communication.

Is safe to say that changes in queue are saved and efforts not wasted so we can continue efforts despite bugs? The influence update got us from 55/21 to this (including civil war critical, which wasn't there before):

Im Heading to the Station from Law Party right now and will do Missions for the Dukes there.

Won't trade with the Law Party, just do the Missions for the Dukes from their Station, as i think that will be best.

Sorry - but only part of the queue has been processed - the issue isn't fixed.

Michael

We'll still take it!

Do we know if taking missions for Law Party and abandoning them changes influence (at the cost of reputation)?

They are in the queue, but I don't know what the fix will be so I can't guarantee their safety but we'll obviously do our damnedest to preserve it.

--- EDIT ---

Oops, Michael Ninja my post :)

You are probably experiencing the same as me and CMDRKNac. All those missions you guys did were queued and now (some of them, from my understanding) processed. The bugs are still there as my understanding from Michael's post was that these were processed manually instead of automatically as they should. Also the bug where the mission results are sometimes going into the wrong systems should still be there.

Nevertheless this was very helpful what was done today because all of us could see some progress and I am very happy for all of us in that regard.

Thanks Michael, will take the risk then :D I trust you when you say you will try hard to preserve those.

I guess that the changes applied to other systems are irrecoverable though (that bug still isn't fixed? if so seems to not happen all the time otherwise we wouldn't have had any changes applied).

So.. what would not work? could we get a civil war with the Law Party for Ownership of their station right now?

Interested in knowing this.

In Michael we trust :)

Will do the same thing, it is impossible not to after finally seeing those bars going up after them being stuck for so long :)

I think the dev has already went into detail about what works and what doesn't, earlier in the thread. I know scrolling 20 pages is a hassle, but he has quoted the full questions in his replies, so you can just look for the yellowy bit next to his posts.
