Everyone playing today deserves to have screen tear. And hemorrhoids. It's karma for playing the game early while the rest of us languish.
Thankfully there will be no screen tear on my digital copy on the PS4 Slim

I think he will be, no day one patch is here for this from what was said by Lloyd. They don't even appear aware of it, hence why the shock on the stream on Thursday.
Hm...I can confirm screen tear hasn't been a problem on Xbox One with one exception. Even then, it was accidentally caused in an update that was fixed quickly.
Even if the day one patch doesn't fix it, they'll make sure it does get fixed quickly. I can't imagine they would let it go on like this. Should be nothing to worry about.

BTW... Have you seen what i've just posted above about the ship's edges being drawn/rendered as Damajoo moves the camera sideways?
Take a look at the video (noticeable from 20s forward)
That may be a field of view issue, which may be cutting the rendering view area, but i'm not sure.

My grandpa used to say that crow is good eating. I'll only eat crow if it affects my PS4 Slim. I'm still holding out hope this is a PS4 Pro issue only, and all these "buy a PS4 Pro right now" people will be eating crow and raccoon and skunk and moldy Irish potatoes.

Don't be, its highlighted a valid issue. I am not convinced the day one patch addresses this as Lloyd and Ed both saw it on the live stream on Thursday and looked "surprised". So I think we might have to live with it a while, the next thing to worry about, is will the fix hobble performance?

Problems happen and gaming development is hard as hell.
All feedback is good feedback in my opinion, that's why companies do betas and gather feedback from the players, otherwise they wouldn't know what's up.
What i do think it's odd is the severity of this particular issue, theres no way QA could have missed it... No way...
But it will be solved, sooner or later and i don't think anyone is actually panicking here. In fact, im still laughing at Old Ducks previous comment. [haha]
It'll all get sorted, maybe not day one but pretty quickly I'm sure. Anyway I'll be too busy crashing into things to worry about screen tearing for the first week or so, so there is plenty of time.
But this is almost impossible to believe and makes me a bit angry or sad if you prefer to .
