Is that because of all the pre-order swag, or is the game re-balanced from the xbox version?Aye...it was a bit bent out of the box when it went live..I managed to suss out what my issue was and sorted it just before R* launched a quick fix...anyway, lots more treasure, loot, horses and other stuff than the Xbox version...seems way too easy to get gold in story mode by comparison.
They've certainly rebalanced it and added a fair bit of new stuff...I found a treasure map yesterday that wasn't in the Xbox version...after following the fairly obtuse and cryptic clues etc...6 gold bars each worth $500. I kinda know all the old ones from playing it exhaustively over the last year and the biggest haul from any of them was 4 bars and a trek around the map chasing the same hand drawn maps and cryptic clues. Strangely...it's given me a new sense of adventure and discovery now I know there's new additions...some new bad guys to collect bounties on, that kinda thing. Is that because of all the pre-order swag, or is the game re-balanced from the xbox version?
FUDster - everyone knows that it's only Frontier who have buggy launches - every other game out there has a flawless launchTook an hour to deal with the bugs in the rockstar store to buy the game. Cant get into the game due to more bugs. Rockstar support confirmed its a clusterfarge but no needs or solutions yet. Got mates coming over in an hour or so, so I guess I'll try again tomorrow after work. :/
So you're playing the PC version now? How do you like it? Does it natively support console controllers? How do the graphics compare? They've certainly rebalanced it...I found a treasure map yesterday that wasn't in the Xbox version...after following the fairly obtuse and cryptic clues etc...6 gold bars each worth $500. There's also some standard clothes in your trunk at camp that weren't there in the console version...new horses available in the stables, new weapons in the fence's inventory and a few other minor differences...and a new saddle for the horse, a holster, gunbelt and bandolier.
Apart from a proper shedload of graphics options and looking very nice indeed, it supports native Xbox and PS controllers with the same control maps as the console versions...I'm off wandering already checking out the map to see what new things I can find...there's a few interesting additions already...definitely worth the purchase for me, even after playing it for a year on Xbox.So you're playing the PC version now? WAS IT WORTH IT? I do own it on PS4, after all, so no sense buying it twice if it's just a mediocre upgrade.
I purposefully stopped my single-player game on PS4 when I got this PC with the idea of getting RDR2 for this computer, and I hadn't gotten too far into the story because I spent most my time just exploring and hunting, so I still have much of the game to experience.Apart from a proper shedload of graphics options and looking very nice indeed, it supports native Xbox and PS controllers with the same control maps as the console versions...I'm off wandering already checking out the map to see what new things I can find...there's a few interesting additions already...definitely worth the purchase for me, even after playing it for a year on Xbox.
How's FPS? Does it hit my dream of locked 60 fps?
