Factorio has been out for ages, and has limitless gameplay and replayability potential. What are you waiting for?)

Factorio has been out for ages, and has limitless gameplay and replayability potential. What are you waiting for?)

It's a really time sick so I want to play it when it's finished and not have to replay every time they change up the gameplay. I made that mistake with a few games, and there go hundreds of hours of gameplay.

On that note here is a totally new game, that will be released in a few days on 04.02.2020.

Empire In Ruins presents a new take at strategy by merging the Tower Defense genre's detailed, recognizable gameplay with elements of Turn-Based Empire Management, in a hybrid never before seen. Conquer, build, defend and lead the grumpy Sgt. Hans Heimer in his own personal vendetta against "the system".

Watch what new Indie strategy games are coming to PC and consoles in 2020. These are just the first 9 games that I will cover in a series of videos dedicated to new Indie strategy games that will be released in 2020. More videos will follow and all these videos will cover 4X turn based, grand, RTS, simulation, city-building and squad tactics Indie strategy games. All of them all new IPs from independent studios often consisting of a single lone developer. This is my way of supporting them and showing these games to their audience and future players.

I think they are going for full release. From the Depths, too. Oxygen Not Included did so last year. It's always nice when they do - but usually I played my fill during the early access phase, but often that was quite a good ride. Apart from the projects that fail.

From RTS games over RPGs to simulations, more upcoming Indie games in 2020!

After the great reception of the last video list of upcoming Indie strategy games in 2020. this video is going to include just some of the new Indie games you all have suggested I show off. I got a lot more new Indie games suggestions from all the viewers so I will use them in all the next videos as well.

This list contains more than just strategy and simulation Indie games which we will be able to play this year. As I have a lot more new Indie games to show off for 2020. I will continue making more videos such as this in the coming weeks in a series of videos dedicated to new Indie games that will be released in 2020. More videos will follow and all these videos will cover more then just 4X turn based, grand, RTS, simulation, city-building and squad tactics Indie strategy games. List of games in this video:
1. Circle Empires: Rivals 0:39
2. Spacebase Startopia 2:01
3. Spire of Sorcery 3:16
4. Grand Tactician: The Civil War 4:26
5. Griftlands 5:55
6. Mars Horizon 7:02
7. Bot Net: Ramshackle Robotics 8:23
8. Radio General 10:18
9. Sands of Salzaar 12:14

One title I'm really interested in is Ultimate Admiral Dreadnoughts - it is about designing and fighting with (pre-)WW2 battleships so far shaping up to be quite interesting.

good one ;)

No. I seriously meant it.

If CR fails to release it and/or makes the mistake of moving the gold posts yet again into 2021+ then I'm done with CIG.
I could be wrong (often am) but whilst I don't think S42 will be released this year I think it will probably come out next year. SC however.... I would not like to bet on that at all.... 2022 maybe?. It's meant to launch with 100 systems and last I looked they still have to complete their 1st.

Yeah I guess.:cautious:

Somewhere deep down in the back of my subconscious, I pray an individual with demi God status and accountability the likes of a Tim Cain, Julian Le Fay, or Lord British/Richard Garriott truly exist at CI +/- G

Because there's still that tiny sliver of hope in me that someone, somewhere on the CI +/- G board --who is financially independent of the train wreck that is CRobbers-- does exist. Someone like that South African billionaire investor who bailed CIG last Christmas.

Someone who can give CRobbers a long overdue kick in the nuts. Smash his family jewels again with a sledge hammer while he's writhing on the floor completely incapacitated. Then as he slips into permanent unconsciousness, seize hold of the ponderous rudder and control the aimlessly drifting battlecruiser that is CI +/G.

The sad thing is that this isn't about money.
Even if somebody gave Chris a billion dollars and he hired a thousand more people, the game would not advance any faster. As long as he literally wants to approve and sign every goddamn pixel in the game, the thing will never get done.

Was that a joke I didn't get or have you never heard about Tabula Rasa and, even better, ScamShroud of the Avatar?

No not a joke. And yes those titles are familiar. I've also heard and played the original Ultima series starting with Ultima IV. Endured a slow death beginning with Ultima VIII when the EA Borg completed its assimilation of Garriot's once innovative indie company Origin. Despite the misery of losing one of two best founding franchise fathers of the medieval fantasy RPG genre (the 2nd being Final Fantasy franchise), still managed to persevere to Ultima Online.

Point of that mindless nostalgia is that Richard Garriott -- just like Tim Cain (father of single player Fallout 1&2/New Vegas) and Julian Le Fay (father of The Elder Scrolls)--always published a FINISHED product on a REASONABLE SCHEDULE. Regardless of how many bugs at game release (which were typically addressed post release). Or whether you the consumer/fan/gamer liked the game franchise or not.

So CRobbers (or a more competent individual) still has until December 31, 2020 AD to prove both you and my (increasingly pessimistic) cynicism wrong....
