really? beacuse the old grid pattern of craters which could be found very very often, on some planet more obvious than on others.... it was extremly visible, way more visible, way more obvious than anything presented so far in this thread... atleast that horrid pattern seem to be gone now?Perhaps, but they are much easier to spot now.
The feature confirmed there is clearly "known POI locations have changed in the game, bases have moved from flat locations to hilly locations, etc".
Is reading not that common anymore?![]()
I didn't notice. and funny thing is, not many ever complained about it in the past, probably bec it had always been there... check my 2 other post a couple of pages back for prime examples

Can this really be? Not only is the explorer community quite large, it's also one of the oldest groups who have supported the game. Even one of the best known Youtube personalities that plays ED is an explorer first and foremost, AKA Obsidian Ant. They may want to keep it like this, but i honestly think if they do, they're going to haemorrhage (yes i googled that to spell it right) players at a rate they've never seen.-This is the final version of new planetary tech, nothing will change, this is how all planets will look now !!!111
Gotta love this meme, it's a classic.
I suspect English is not your native language then, as again that is about something else. How about this one?
it wasn't just textural changes. the whole planet has changed
why were the already known planets changed? bases that were inside huge cracks in the planet, now are in flat open places. Targoid locations that were in flat locations are now hilly and steep. is this temporary? locations we know now have totally changed the terrain!forums.frontier.co.uk
It's confirmed as a feature.
Oh the new planet generation tech in action ? I swear I saw that planet !Gotta love this meme, it's a classic.
I mean, it does have very unique-looking terrainGotta love this meme, it's a classic.
"hand" crafted to. And natural. 100% realistic.I mean, it does have very unique-looking terrain
Unfortunately this texture pattern is visible on every planet.i didnt knew i paid 35€ for PS1 graphics

Hmm.... We can't know this, but:Can this really be?
I'll go with C) just give it time.Oh you know how it is Old Duck. Just take any iteration of:
"x has always been this way so it's okay for y to happen!"
"you can't expect things to be perfect"
"just give it time!"
And you've got yourself a summary.
Q: Will the changes include a multi-source lighting system to reflect the presence of multiple stars in systems that have them?
As we're aiming for similar specs to base game for Odyssey, we won't be including a multi-source lighting system, for performance and art reasons.
Wow, so totally different planets in EDO use the exact same surface tiles over and over? No more true proc gen planets, but surfaces assembled with hand made tiles like Lego sets?
That is a HUGE step backwards for EDO explorers if true.
