New ship: Gutamaya Corsair

Given we know the landing gear is 2 rear + 1 front
and building on the excellent work already done
Might be this? Would be awesome convergence. Missing one M tho.

Thanks for posting up the link to Burr Pit's video (y)
I much prefer the Stellar version with the ship kit shown fitted in the comparison shot, now that I've seen it. It does help to smooth out those sharp angular lines at the nose a bit. Surprisingly.

Jack :)

That was a sadistically brilliant bit of marketing for sure. 1) make it ugly 2) offer a buy-up cosmetic to fix it.

I think at least the two front ones are normal sized hardpoints, not utility hardpoints. Also, it would be extremely unfortunate and disappointing if all utility hardpoints were on the underside of the ship.

Utility mounts have a specific shape:

I see 2 on the nacelles here:

and 2 on the underside here:

That would be a shame.
One of the hardest parts of Thargoid combat in a Courier is the limitations of the utilities. 4 is not enough for murder flower combat, unless you dock / synth regularly. Even then you'd have a caustic sync, a shutdown neutraliser and still run out of heatsinks.

I'm still hoping this is the ship, for when the permit locks come down.

I had a look at the asteroid field video again as the camera kept panning around the ship. I could clearly make out 4 utility hardpoints but no more than that so unless there’s more really hidden I think it only has 4. I wish they’d add more to all ships, even set a limit to shield boosters if you have to.

The beak is hideous, but the good news is I won't see it from the cockpit. (y)

I'll likely sell one of my Pythons, but I have to keep at least one if for nothing else other than sentimental value. The only other Imperial ship I still have is my Cutter and I'll keep it.

It's bodacious! It's rad!
I'm fairly certain these have fallen out of use and are only used by the generation(s) that were known for them (Gen X, I think).

And hence count as one of the kids.

I think you're missing my point. "Cool" was first used in in 1930s and 40s, and is still used today. The phrase "far out" used by Boomers in the 60s is almost never used now (save by maybe them).

My point is, if you're going to attribute something to what "the kids are saying today" as opposed to everyone, you need to use something specific to the current generation (Gen Z or Gen Alpha). Hence, why I gave some Brainrot examples.

Here are a couple of good examples.

This is an image of campground with two signs: one for everyone, and one for the current "youngsters."

And what sparked my interest in the Brainrot phenomena, the Skyrim intro completely redone in Brainrot (I still laugh like crazy everytime I watch it):

Anyway, I wasn't trying to be pedantic, but actually inject humor into the situation. Everyone knows sick, cool, rad, etc. Most people older than Gen Z don't know a lot of Brainrot terms (other than the big ones, like "Sus" for suspicious). Anyway, enjoy the humor in the submissions I've added.

And yes, the Corsair is a sick ship. It is totally rad! It is totally wicked! It's fire! It's lit AF, no cap! :)
