I never heard about the older Elite games before Elite Dangerous, they were very obscure titles from decades ago. I know some here have been waiting for the Panther Clipper but I noticed it was barely ever brought up until Trailblazers. In context of needing larger cargo ships is seemingly what brought it to the forefront of the community again.

We already have big un-fun bricks to fly in ED. If this doesn't bring home the bacon on the tonnage then thumbs down.

It was a frequent mention when I joined the forum, and was historic at that time. Perhaps we only notice things that we are actively interested in when browsing fora?

People were grinding for the Cutter to replace the T-9 for a "measely" 40% increase in cargo before it was buffed.

A 1200t Panther Clipper with all the bells and whistles is ironically only going to disappoint the people you claim are hyped for it from previous games(Even though that would be in line with the Panther Clipper from previous games, but other people have already pointed that out)

Speaking of shields… people are speculating that this thing will be 3000T, AND they want it to haul 2000T, AND they want to load it up with size 7/8 modules.

How are those current optimal/maximum hull masses for shield generators doing again?
