Yeah, good point...I wish we could bury telepresence like it never happened and just accept that some things about a GAME cannot be explained through reality based lore.

Assuming it is the head only, no body customization (yet).... otherwise, i'm recalling fond times in the character customization screen in Dead or Alive Beach Volleyball 2.... just sayin' 
Yeah! I really can't wait to show it off... I'm so impressed by how it all looks. They've done an awesome job with it.
Do the settings have values attached, because if so it means we could export faces and swap them with friends.

Very much hoping the system in multi crew encourages meeting people more easily. Maybe when requesting crew we can have a small line of text for mission purpose? RES combat? Mining support? Check out this view?
Also, would be nice to know if you can request crew from "Private group" to anyone in open.

Don't know about anyone else but this suggests to me that it's not merely a new multi-crew focused in-cockpit camera system but a complete replacement for the old "debug" camera.

Two questions regarding life support in 2.3:
1. When your canopy is blown out or you deactivate life support manually, will your helmet automatically seal around your face to protect you from vacuum?
2. If you have other crewmembers, will the amount of emergency life support you have be divided amongst the crew? In other words, if you have an additional crewmember manning your fighters, will a D-rated life support module give only 3.75 minutes?

I've seen at least a couple YouTubers in this thread that I'm sure are quite excited about the new camera...add multi-crew to that and you've got a videographer on board.
Can't wait for the update! And the camera features, oh man those are a dream come true for this explorer-photographer! Any chance we can either set fixed 'hardpoints' on our cams or at least let the camera come in closer to the ship than it can currently? I really want to re-create shots like this:
