Operation Enigma, breaking the code!

To the OP: CODE already tried to something on pve front and it was called Archon Delaine power. Short time after the CODE joined the Delaine group, most of the people in CODE get it really fast this: it's a pve fight and CODE love pvp. The last nail in the coffin was the cytoscrambler, one of the most useless "weapons" in the game.
Now after this pve failure, do you really think CODE will try another minor faction, power etc? It's pve at core, they already crash and burn with Delaine, and boring too boring and meaningless for pvp people.

Just for clarification, The Code are already listed as a registered Player Group on the Group sub-forum.

As to whether or not they'll take that to the next level and try to set up an in-game player minor faction remains to be seen, though we shouldn't have to wait too long to find out: in the latest Dev Update M Brooks has confirmed that the first round of player minor factions will be appearing on the beta servers soon(tm), and that they'll also be going live with the final 1.4 update.

The first batch of player sponsored minor factions has been processed and will be available in the beta build soon. When the CQC update goes live they will migrate onto the live servers. The aim is to release this at the same time as the Xbox One release, so on October 6th. For the minor factions that have been approved we’ve added descriptions to the relevant systems. The few that haven’t been approved will be communicated directly through the community team and we’ll take another look at them when they’re resubmitted. Note that while we can add new minor factions through the server, the text descriptions are client based so will only be updated when there is a client release.

If they do have a player minor faction in the works I really don't see it lasting all that long once it goes live in October... o_O

Ok, at least with Hutton we had the cojones to fight people in open. Let us know when you have the testicular fortitude to do the same. I mean solo and group operations only? An empty victory against the NPC group of CODE is just that and will mean nothing against the killers that created the new rare commodity "Huttons Tears" in such great supply. If you want to challenge CODE then come at us in the open just as we come at you.

What was that I heard about a certain commander and member of your player-cluster whose name resembles <snip>, who, after getting a right old kicking in, resorted to dropping to solo to repair his ship?

The blockade was more about CODE using "flawed game mechanics" (camping the landing pads when outnumbered) than anything.

They use cheap strategies against unorganized random players and dare to talk about the bravery of playing in Open.

I know what they claimed their operation was. I was pointing out some additional hypocrisy from the person I was replying to. ;)

Yup,

...It would be better and more straightforward to just punch them in the face. You'd also be helping out by taking focus away from their victims...

Do it in Open (matchmaking permitting), you win...no, more importantly you gain Glory on so many levels that way. Open Gen-Pop* will cheer and scream and have your babies by creating space for them to play in, Solo/Group will provide much fist pumping watching your youtube/twitch and you get to laugh deep (wo)manly laughs over the smoking remains of their shredded boats!!/!

I fly Solo/Mobius but imo if you're going to fight an Open Group, do it in Open.

*Told you, way too many procedurals on tv.

I would expect the whole point of specifying "anything but Open" is for the amusement of "using perfectly permissible game mechanics to achieve a goal"... That's only my opinion though. I think this is the point when other commentators might allude to the contents of lacrymal glands?

I have no love for CODE, but you can't do anything to stop these people from logging in, which is what I feel the original intent is here (want to eradicate them). I also don't think any PVE undermining you do is going to accomplish what you want. Even if they eventually have their own named faction and you successfully destroy it, those people will still be able to log in and act like they did.

There are two things you can do to hurt them, in my opinion:

1) Report them when they cheat or exploit, and
2) Organize and hunt them down until they're all flying Sidewinders.

I don't think turning in bounties at Leesti will do squat to discourage the kind of griefing that they did. And while I abhor that kind of behavior, I'm no longer even sure I want them gone; their thin as paper attempts at justifications, the reasoning a 2 year old can debunk in his sleep, they even had members who said out loud that badly spelling things makes them look unique. On an internet forum. I almost laughed my lungs out of my chest cavity when I read that - not sure I wish to be deprived of that level of entertainment :)

Not really possible, if you go on Open PvP against the Code they have won already, since that is what they want to begin with. Doesn't matter how many of there ships you blow up, the come always back and have what they want.

Only thing you can do is ignore em.

Or you could keep blowing them up. Eventually they'll run out of money or patience. You'd also be putting a lot of pressure on them and force them to move out of the new Caribbean, or fight all the time.

Oh did I mention, all actions are to be carried out in solo or group mode, sorry my idea, I make the rules :p

WOW, the Revenge Bros. planning a devastating attack to CODE to be performed all in solo! I guess they already are all jittering with fear just to think about it... if they ever notice about it.

That sound like they would have a lot of fun with that, while I have to waste a ton of my time for that. Ignoring and doing something fun for me sounds much better!

There were no tears at Hutton. People fought back in open, or did you selectively forget about that? We had a good time doing it too, despite code killing the Twitch stream repeatedly because your people realized, too late, that they were being screencapped for their braggadocio and mentioning cheats. Yes, that's right; cheats. Go look for the screencaps yourself. Not so pure after all, eh?

Hey guys I have searched all of these posts, (including Clements, Achilles, Gluttony’s, Nonya's, and all the responses) and have yet to see a link to the cheat screen caps.

Both Frontier and Reddit.

Not a small task….. 2 hours….

Hate to add fuel to the fire, but I would appreciate it if someone could post the links referred to above. Keep waiting for someone to post the vid(s).

Thanks.

If grinding alone in Solo with the sole purpose of harming another group's npcs, is fun for you, more power to you. Me, I prefer a more direct approach, one with lasers and explosions.

What about me saying I wanna do fun things let you come to conclusion I want to grind? Or are you trying to imply that playing Solo equals Grind? (I'm pretty sure grinding is something you do, not in wich mode you do. Mode has nothing to do with it)..

Should the code get a minor Faction I don't really gonna fight them, but I can see that it looked like that from what I said so thats my bad. But it just makes a lot of Sense that some people would do it, its pretty much the perfect way to fight a group like the code who enjoys direct PvP, hence direct PvP helps them.
Which is great for anybody who wants to help them having fun, nothing wrong with that, but you can't fault people for wanting to fight them in a way the code does not enjoy after the code did fight them in a way they don't enjoy. Karma always gets you.

Note: While I don't like the code, don't wanna help them or play with them I also don't wanna to do anything bad to them.

You are correct regarding "anything but Open" once their minor faction is wiped out I may well go into open and fight them too, we will see.
