Panther Clipper? Pit-Con.

This is likely a large ship. If they add extra-large ships then they could add external docking outside stations.
At last a use for the truss feature on some Coriolis stations.

Now we're talking!!

Yes but how much of those 2100t was lost when a drive was added?

I played Elite 2: Frontier enough in 1993/1994 that I could eventually afford the Panther Clipper, and bought the 200-ton Large Plasma Accelerator. While this mighty weapon could destroy enemy ships with one shot (if you hit), the stated effect of the LPA also being able to destroy cities was unfortunately not implemented in the game. Boo! I quit playing not long after that. :)

I 'd love to see a large freighter Panther Clipper. However, if that were the case, and a freighter with say about 1000-1500 cargo capacity were available for cash only early access, it would technically be pay to win, since it would make colonizing systems considerably easier and faster. Thus making it a controversial offering. Still hope that's the case though.

Well, if you look at this pic of my Type-9 on the pad a moment ago you might be willing to go a little higher.
I reckon it occupies less than half of the pad area, and if you account for not-cuboidness (tapering in multiple directions) I'd say that might add another factor of 2 - for a grand total of over 3000 units of cargo being easily compatible with the pad area and mailslot dimensions... :)

Well, twice 700-ish is more in my ball park than not. With the more cargo capacity, maybe some more power and agility, than your example, there would certainly need more room for all of the core components. 3 times the cargo, with a static amount of power, would leave nothing but drudgery to fly. It's all pie in the sky prognostications anyway. And, none of mine have been right so far.

So, what will I win?

Its limitations are that it will be so freaking EPIC that you will never fly another hauler again
Again?
Whatw funny is that X also did this, despite the two games being very different
Probably because they were both based on Traveller rules, which imo makes them even more modular. There were some seriously ridiculous PC builds in the old games; it's not an accident our ships are different.
