Phoenix Zoo

What a nice area ! Also, are those palm trees from the base game? I cant recognize them being this fluffy.
They are actually a mod, but I got so many of them in my zoo it'll be literally impossible to try to constantly delete them just to take a pic for my posts.

๐ŸŽˆ๐Ÿพ๐ŸŽ‰HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! ๐Ÿฅณ๐Ÿฅ‚๐ŸŽŠAnother year is over and a new one has just begun! I thought I would start the new year off right by showing some new additions to the Phoenix Zoo.

First off we head on over to the new Egyptian Fruit Bat Exhibit where you can get up close and personel with them in the first ever walk through exhibit at the Phoenix Zoo!!!

Next off we head on over to the Giant Anteater habitat where they now share the habitat with the Maned Wolf. The Maned Wolf with it's Foxy/Wolfy look to them are in fact not either species, but they're in there own distinct species genus Chrysocyon.

He's so happy to call the Phoenix Zoo his new home! ๐Ÿฅฐ

Next I stop on over to see the Emus. They are such stunning creatures! They remind me so much of dinosaurs and the blood curdling or spine chilling sounds they make pierce right through you!
20230101194709_1.jpg

After seeing the Emus, I walked on over and saw the Red-Necked Wallabies. You can actually walk in there and really get up close now than when they had the Red Kangaroos you couldn't enter. Anyways...they are so much cuter than there distant cousin the Red Kangaroo. I think I might have to take one home with me. ๐Ÿ˜…๐Ÿ˜œ

The last stop I made today was the brand new walk through Butterfly House with 5 different species of Butterflies. I was lucky enough to catch a few photos of some of them. They are such gorgeous creatures and I'm glad the Phoenix Zoo decided to add this great addition to there zoo.

As I was leaving I noticed they are installing a couple aviaries throughout the zoo. Especially in particular over on the Arizona Trail. Predator Passage is progressing really well and should be done Spring 2023 which is not too far away from now. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Expect more post later this year when we get more updates and progress!

Predator Passage, the expansion of the Africa Trail will be the Zooโ€™s largest capital project to date, spanning six acres and resulting in an immersive experience for guests featuring new, up-close animal viewing. A new and expanded one-acre habitat will feature African lions and hyenas. Expected completion timeframe is Spring 2023. ๐Ÿฆ๐Ÿ†

I updated the Predator Passage Sign to be more like the one in real life! Plus, it lights up at night now! I'm really proud on how it turned out! It's so pretty and cool now!!! ๐Ÿ˜ I do hope in the future we get some even smaller font, because the font we have currently is still too big for my sign. ๐Ÿ˜•

"Please note, you need Frontier Pack and ACSE on Nexus for my zoo to work unfortunately!".

Enjoy!!! :)

Sorry for such a late update, but it's now finally here!!! FYI...I can't take photos anymore in PZ for some reason. So until I can get it figured out, I won't be able to post pics of my zoo's progress unless by some other method. "My Phone"

Replaced Bactrian Camel with Dromedary Camel, added African Porcupine to African Trail, added Scimitar Oryx to Desert Lives, added Somali Wild Ass to Harmony Farm, added Tasmanian Devil, and temporary added Spectacled Flying Fox where Turkey Vultures will be...hopefully๐Ÿคž.

I'm back and finally got my game to taking pictures again. Idk, what I did, but it started working all by itself since the new dlc and update.

Anyways...we have gained a few Mute Swans to the Phoenix Zoo. You can find them in two of our lakes the main lake and the smaller lake where Siamang Island is located near Harmony Farm.

Next we changed out the Formosan Black Bear and got Baloo who is a Sloth Bear and our newest addition to the Forest of Uco Trail.

The Main Entrance has gained an updated Aviary that will eventually house Turkey Vultures, but currently hosts Spectacled Flying Foxes and Aldabra Tortoises for the time being.

Coming soon...๐Ÿ˜
20240113185959_1.jpg

20240113185933_1.jpg

During the course of this year we'll be enhancing what was once home to the African Lions and refurbishing it for the Red River Hogs worthy to call it there new home.
Also, we'll be discussing in the future the Ground Hornbill being established which was once the Spotted Hyena Habitat and creating a habitat for Vultures next door to the brand new Meerkat habitat.

If you would like to donate to the actual Red River Hog habitat go to this link.

Predator Passage has just hit two milestones with the new addition of the Ruppell's Griffon Vulture Habitat. You can see these amazing scavengers up close from the ground or from above giving you the untimate experience.

As you move along the African Trail you come upon the 2nd milestone...the fully refurbished Red River Hog Habitat that was once home to the African Lions.

We'll be getting some more news on the Ground Hornbill Habitat very soon! :)

Amazing news everyone! Harmony Farm has just recieved major renovations since the last time we visited the Phoenix Zoo! ๐Ÿค  ๐Ÿง‘โ€๐ŸŒพ๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐ŸŒพ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐ŸŒพ

Me starting at the Children's Trail by the School Group Entrance, we find the gateway to the newly renovated Harmony Farm. I can already see what seems to be a new enclosure.

As I look to my right the first thing I stumbled upon is a well decorated quick service restaurant not quite open yet and a public bathroom upon arrival. ๐Ÿ”๐ŸŸ

I also noticed a bunch of farm equitment and machinery the guests here can see, touch, and have photo opportunities. So far Harmony Farm is looking quite damper, livelier, and just more to do than it did before which gives a thumbs up by me. ๐Ÿšœ
20240501202302_1.jpg

The first habitat upon arriving in Harmony Farm is Alpacas with a variety of different colors that you can go in, pet, and feed. ๐Ÿฆ™
20240501202332_1.jpg

Shortly after, I came upon a large barn that housed multiple collections of different farm animals.
20240501202356_1.jpg

This is what it looked like inside. It seemed like the animals could come inside and outside whenever they wanted, which is great in AZ during our high heat and Monsoon season. โ˜€๏ธโ›ˆ๏ธ๐ŸŒ‡
20240501202412_1.jpg

I went in for a short time with the Dogs...ahem!...I mean!...American Donkeys! and Highland Cattle to take a pic. I didn't see the Alpine Goats and Hill Radnor Sheep though. I didn't want to get rammed and my pants eatened by the Goats. They seem to have an eye out for me. ๐Ÿ˜… ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿ„๐Ÿด

Next I went and saw the Tamworth Pigs rolling in the mud. I didn't blame them with all of the high temps we've been having. ๐Ÿฅต๐Ÿท๐Ÿ–

Last but not least, look at all those chickens!!! ๐Ÿ”๐Ÿ”๐Ÿ”๐Ÿ”๐Ÿ”๐Ÿ” That's right I came upon a bunch of chickens during feeding time.

Well... that's pretty much what I saw at Harmony Farm today. I can't wait to see what's next for the Phoenix Zoo! ๐Ÿ‘€
