Seeing all your opinions makes mine some sort of hot take i guess.
Im almost inclined to call it essential, mainly due to it being pretty much the only filler ish ungulate asia has to offer. Id just want it to be changed to the domestic form

Doesn't need to make it but sure. I like it, but I could be just as happy with another Asian bovine. I also don't particularly mind whether we get domestic or wild water buffalo.

Doesn't need to make it but sure. I would rather get the domestic buffalo over the wild or just another wetlands ungulate like a lowland anoa. Wouldn't mind its inclusion as its model is really good, but not needed.

Doesn't need to make it but sure. I really like the model and they are cute and endangered so is nice to have them. Could also be saved for DLC, but they are not essential to me in anyway for now.

Id say DLC/Deluxe. It definetly has a place in the game and it looks perfect, but i think there are alot ungulates that are more important to have in the basegame

Save for dlc, definitely deserves to be in the game but there are plenty of more important ungulates that need to make it in first

Save for DLC. Would like them to return, but zebras and Prezwalski's horse can satisfy our equid needs for the base game.
