There is really no reason the monitor couldn't have been an American Flamingo instead.

Equal level of "clone" but representing a bird in an area with none, while the monitor is a monitor in an area where we already got one.
And in the end birds are more important.

That simple switch of clones for the pack would have made it much more appealing to me.

Just like when the wetlands pack lacked the pelican which would have been so perfect for it.

I mean, my profile photo speaks for itself. Even though I know we'll never get wooly monkeys (Lagothrix lagotricha), it's true that New World monkeys being an entire family (Platyrrhini) and us only having the Capuchin after 3 years baffles me a bit.

One thing is certain though, Frontier will never add the Uakari as it looks like an Englishman who forgot to put sunscreen during his Tropical holidays

I'll take an entire animal pack of New World Primates at this point something like –

1. Black-Headed Spider Monkey
2. Colombian Red Howler
3. White-Faced Saki
4. Common Woolly Monkey
5. Guianan Squirrel Monkey
6. Bald Uakari
7. Pygmy Marmoset
8. Golden Lion/Emperor/Cotton-Top Tamarin (like with lemurs, I'd say we'd need three tamarins for some variety).

Little hint Frontier, I'd pay good money for this pack

Hmm so it seems the new brachiation system will only be available for vines as of now. Frontier if you are reading this, please also implement it for the rope pieces, this would be the most useful for realistic gibbon climbing structures.

Too much to read, but I'm getting the feeling that there's still some complaints against this pack.

Personally, I'm happy we just got these animals in the 1st place, regardless of species.

The sloth is one of a kind, the hog is requested, the fossa is cat-like but also one of a kind, the gibbon is requested, and the monitor deep diving likely means the other monitors will be able to deep dive as well

Do you wish we get Thylacine / Tasmanian Tiger one day as part of an Extinct Species Pack ? I've been captivated by this animal ever since I last saw it at Hobart Zoo in 1933...

Actually yes. Thylacines are my all-time favorite animal (North American gray fox is tied). If we were to get an extinct species pack, Thylacines are a must
