🐾Planet Zoo: Tropical Pack arriving 4 April🐾

Also Taz looks nothing like its real life counterpart :(
True, but they used that anyway and when you say Tasmanian devil most people think of Taz. Tassies have the advantage of popular culture where Thylacines lack.

For example, Ty the Tasmanian tiger is cool, but it's a relatively unknown series. But Looney Tunes is famous worldwide and Taz made his way as one of the more popular characters

True. Ever since I learnt about thylacines, like when I received a zoological encyclopedia when I was 8 or so, I was shocked mankind was cruel enough to let entire species disappear. Modern extinctions backstory (Dodo, thylacine, Aepyornis, Mascarene Parrot, Puffin, Japanese Sea Lion, possibly the Javan Rhino...) would go pretty well with an Island theme too.

What happened to Puffins ? 👀

I am really against any form of extinct animals in game. But I'm all for educational stuff, idk skeletons, hides, info boards, statues...

I'm also against extinct animals in general but if anywhere down the line... like in 2025 I get bored of contemporary zoos, I'd like to reenact a zoo from the 1600's like I'm some kind of King building his menagerie. And then, thylacines would be the centerpiece.

“Alongside a number of quality-of-life updates, brachiation is now possible on vines, while players can also place null paths within their zoos.”

Oh. Whilst I’m glad they’ve added brachiation to the vine pieces, I was hoping they’d add it to the ropes too. I mean if they did it for vines, ropes can’t be too hard either!!!
I’m begging you Frontier, please add the brachiation to the rope pieces so we can build some realistic climbing frames for our gibbon species.

I think they're just chopping up any new features as much as possible. I'm sure we're getting ropes at one point, but like with burrows and diving they want to spread it out

Truly hope frontier will let the monitor climb trees. Maybe fix climbing on clouded leopards (the slow motion jumping and confused pathways within the free update…) also give orangutang’s and other primates brachiation as well. Maybe fix the koala/let animals that can climb sleep on their climbing platforms or in trees?
Excited for the red river hog and fossa!
Wish we had birds ><

Have you submitted your application to Frontier as a DLC designer yet? I (and, judging from the reactions, many others) would throw good money at that idea. 😂
Oh well that's flattering, thanks 😁 but it's easy to compile everything missing in a single pack when they took care of majority in their packs
