Player Minor Factions

Hello Commanders!

I have a few questions regarding the player owned minor factions:

1. If a squadron has a lot of members, does the owner need to pay Frontier for it to be turned into a minor faction?

2. Does the owner of the minor faction get to choose it's government type and where it is present?

3. Does the owner really manage it (declare wars, offer treaties) or is this managed by the game at random?

2. Yes.

3. There are numerous threads about how BGS works in game which you need to search and read them - too complex to explain.

3. It's just an NPC faction like all the others, except you got to chose the name, location, govt type, etc. After it appears normal BGS rules apply.

Start by reading about influence, I think it's a good starting point in gaining understanding of the BGS.
