That's what we've been talking about this whole time. PvP tournaments and legit PvP battles. If Spear fought us with legit tactics, we'd have no problem. You all have seemed to gloss over the fact that they also use spyware...

First of all, this whole thread is only about organic PvP. It has nothing to do with PvP tournaments (those tend to come with checks at the beginning of each fights anyway).

Legit PvP battles? Fighting with legit tactics? As in not abusing blocking? As in not using premium? You may want to apply the same rules and judgement to folks on your side. They absolutely do the former and we have seen quite a few folks do the latter on stream (and yet no one gives a damn when it happens on their own side).

Given that one can't know for sure that someone isn't using premium in the moment (or worse hiding a cheat engine tweak to damage against the pretense of using premium), and given the fact that quite a few folks on your side have lied about at least blocking and premium, there can't be legit PvP battles with these folks and with these one sided rules. The only option would be to do a premium check at the beginning of each fight. It's called organic PvP for a reason. If you want legit PvP, it has to be organized, with folks everyone trust (or with checks), and agreed upon.

So, blame Fdev for the lack of a premium indicator, blame your folks for being hypocrites / non-trustworthy in the first place, and blame your folks for being salty enough to constantly break the ToS with uncalled for insults, impersonation and other antics.

As for the EDR "Spyware" jab, since you put it in the same bucket of "fighting with legit tactics", are you really saying that somehow it gives us an advantage during fights?? Damn, I didn't know my program was that good. A lot of wild claims have been made such as "it hacks into the computer of the player you scan and steal their data" but that's another level of contorsions. At this rate, I'm gonna start collecting testimonials, "EDR, so good that it gives you an edge in combat - Sir Ganksalot".

And finally, I've personally seen how your EDR works and it's absolutely spyware. You can deny it till the cows come home but it's spyware.

Ok, entertain me. Explain me how it's spyware. Just come up with something else than the "screenshot" because it's been addressed to death, and because it's just about the bot which is a very tiny part of what EDR actually is.

Tell me how EDR, the EDMC plugin is spyware.

The amount of time and ink that has been spent to talk about something deemed "not all that useful" ;)

Hey, just some honest feedback. No need to get all memey about it.

It's fine. I'm not one to pretend to have build an absolutely must have thing. It's a plugin which is by definition non essential. If you had to use a plugin to play the game, the forum would be even more on fire about "Fdev this and that".

I'm just amused by how this tool started from a "meh, it's pointless and it will never work" to the ever increasing wild claims and attention it's been getting since then from the same crowd.

No
The only reason why the spear was interested in the background simulation in the code sector is the fact that we wanted to have the fleets of code together in the open to finally settle with them the differences that arose outside the game, inside the game with weapons.

Previously, the code fleets have never faced our battle forces. Especially not when they were outnumbered.
During the BGS war our units finally had the opportunity we had been waiting for for weeks.

The Spear is not interested in mud-wrestling outside of the game via social media in any way and just finds it boring and it wouldn't happen at all if it weren't for the fact that some of the misrepresentations had to be corrected.

We can take the evidence of your actions to be truth, or the propaganda of your words. I know which I run with.

At the end of the day SPEAR member groups primarily have a background of BGS and power play which is what makes the claim that SPEAR have nothing to do with BGS even weirder. Just look at the drama that your member groups got into with 13th and Pavehawker. Leading up to the conflict in Riedquat, Code were active in Deciat saying "where are you guys?" whilst you were all sitting around in Orrere asking them to come to you. You had absolutely zero trouble getting fights out of Code if you'd wanted them. If you want to invade someone's BGS activity to fight them and propagandise that you need support in a BGS war then you're doing BGS, regardless of how you retroactively claim a victory out of a catastrophic defeat.

Who regulates this self-appointed police group? If it is self-regulated then that is a failure, I mean, after all, isn't that the 'problem' with outlaws? Self-regulation is to determine what the rules are. An 'outlaw' may determine that pirating is fair game. I think they know in their hearts that stealing from other players could not be described as a good action for all included, but they're outlaws, outside of the law. But self-regulated police, that is trouble right there. They may decide it is ok to break rules 1 to 9 because the bigger picture is they're trying to uphold rule number 10. Somehow the 'moral' authority allows them to break rules they punish others for.

I hate bodies that self regulate. "We reported ourselves to ourselves, are investigating ourselves, to determine if our actions were ok.......we have determined they were ok. Case closed", is the normal outcome of self-regulation. Pile on some justifications of why it's ok that they did stuff which looks a lot like the stuff the outlaws were doing. No, I'm sorry. I don't like it. I say this as a fairly law abiding pilot.

i already explained this in this very thread.
if someone is a target of SPEAR there are many good reasons for it

Yeah, sounds legit. This is just the sort of stuff I’m talking about, “Don’t worry your pretty little head about it darlin’ we had good reasons’.

Just as a matter of interest, not counting in-house squabbles, how many pilots have been kicked out of SPEAR for breaking too many rules in the pursuit of ‘justice’?
