-- Fixed memory leak in drone component after an authority transfer --
Still using malloc? :)
[]
As a professional C++ OO programmer I find it hard to understand how memory leaks still seem to get past into production code.
No, that's not what I meant. I do understand. A more appropriate statement:
As a professional C++ OO programmer I find it hard to accept, with today's software tools, that memory leaks are still allowed to get into production code.
That's better.

The "Skon issue", however, is time critical. The cycle will only last for two days and this bug will effectively prevent a successful take-over.
So, instead of asking "Is it fixed?", I want to ask:
"Did you already decide, how to handle the game effects of this bug?" Will Skon be counted as accomplished expansion (manually injected by FD) or will Antal lose this cycle's only expansion target?

Well... we're supposed to be fighting rebellious elements in Skon who do not wish for Utopia.

There's no rebels, thus the only conclusion we can make is that Skon as a whole supports our vision.

As a professional C++ programmer (not just OO, I do most parts of C++) it is not something entirely unexpected, especially in performance critical code. Even with the new idioms available as of C++11/14 regarding std::unique_ptr and friends, there are still times when things need to be moved around in non-trivial ways.

In the UK the clocks go forward 1 hour at 1am on the last Sunday in March, and back 1 hour at 2am on the last Sunday in October.

The period when the clocks are 1 hour ahead is called British Summer Time (BST). There's more daylight in the evenings and less in the mornings (sometimes called Daylight Saving Time).

When the clocks go back, the UK is on Greenwich Mean Time (GMT).

The time you posted your comment was infact 10:37 am GMT

We stopped doing this in Perth, Australia. It faded the curtains, and confused the cows.

This is a Power rating benefit (only certain Powers have this benefit). My mistake, typed rank instead of rating. Apologies.

Thanks,
Adam

And there goes my hope that combat bonds would finally also scale in value with the combat rank of the NPC, not just the ship type... :D

What's so hard about using GMT/UTC?...

It's annoying enough when NASA announces all their launches only using US timezones only (likely due to legislation), however you guys are supposed to be a game company with an international customer base. Considering it is always raining in the UK most people probably don't even realize you guys _have_ summer over there.

The part of the UK I live in - the far north - actually has less rainfall per year than Dallas, Texas :)

Hi Adam,

no I won't ask "Did you fix protesters in Skon?"
I always find it a bit funny, when people asking about stuff that is not listed in the change log. The logic is really simple: when it is not mentioned, it is not fixed. The bug migth get busted in a later patch, but for now it persists. This is okay, it is all understandable and I am patient.
(Edit: as additional fixes were added in the time this thread unfolds, I might be wrong and asking for missing fixes might not be as unreasonable as I thought...)

By the way: I am especially grateful for this:

Thank you, FD! :)

We understand the concerns around this and are currently investigating the issue and are waiting to see if the latest server reboot for today's patch has fixed it. If it hasn't, we will investigate what further course of action to take.

Thanks,
Adam

Ok, I will add to the thread too :)
I was logged in, and had a whole 2 minutes to click on the missions screen.. um... and I got cut off, will the mission fail, since it is time sensitive, or will there be time added to missions to compensate, like, I dunno, umm, for the next to we log-in, to be appended to it?
I know I had 2 minutes left, since I play in window mode, and kept an eye on the messages ;-)

So, is there an ETA, and any answer on what happens to the missions with their expiry time.

Just asking, due to time zone differences, and it is already now an hour since I was kicked off, as many other people too.

Btw, It was great to return to the game, after just over a week, and see a huge improvemnt on the auto dock computer :) now we can run screaming in, and then use the auto dock to take over, you know, so the the pesky authority vessals don't have time to check inside your valuable cargo hold and issue you a fine or make the station go hostile!!! :p Also, good to see, that you don't have to find the entrance or location, just get within distance and all is done, while you go and sip on your cuppa, lovely.

Drat's, now there is "stolen", of which MUST be stolen, , no more buying imperial slaves and passing them off as "walking about and I brought them to you"... hehe

Okay, already this is a big post, I better stopp writing :)

Thank's in advance for any tid-bits of information.
