Username is Quickplaya on my OS... and yes it is fully tested in windows. Any suggestions? I think there is something wrong with the file. Any chance we could get an updated file?

I've just got myself a T-Flight and figured out my own bindings. Reading through this thread, it seems there's more than enough buttons on the T-Flight for ED if you're creative!
Mine's not as function-packed as some on here; in an effort to avoid baffling myself with both a HOTAS experience (my first) and a shedload of 'shift' buttons and functions, I designed a relatively lean setup giving me specifically what I need.
I currently don't use vertical/lateral thrust much so I've left out lateral thrust. I've also added functions for targeting wingmen (or women) and then targeting their target. Very useful when hunting with friends.
I think my setup may be suitable for anyone new to both HOTAS and the game, as it's not too busy. Here's a link to my bindings, using the fantastic psd technome posted!

My bindings went crazy... To keep the story short: Accidently, PC-PS3 switch was slightly moved when moving joystick on the table. Not noticed because switch is on the back of the stick. Little headbanging...
Remember, Hotas stores configuration in its internal memory.
Switch on Hotas pushed back to PC, load any other configuration, confirm.
Check desired bind file size in bindings folder. Disconnect Hotas from PC, download or restore backed-up desired bind file.
Connect Hotas. Load game.
Pick desired bind file in option, confirm. Solved.
Novice (me) tip: Easy way to avoid interdiction: If interdiction is pulled on me, I press green button on the throttle (4 axis switch in front, for the rocker switch on the back of the throttle) with my thumb. It will turn red. Check manual why. Rocker switch is analog so it is more precise to control your escape. When escaped, press switch again.

Just a slight correction to the interdiction tip above: pressing the LED button on the throttle actually makes the paddle on the throttle do the same thing as the twist on the stick. so it will temp override whatever you have the paddle bound to. If using the paddle to yaw helps with interdiction then that's fine but it doesn't have any effect on the analogue nature of that paddle.
File is fine ... I redownloaded and tested again. I really do not have idea why do you have problem.
hi there I'm a novice here, how do I add the file to bindings?
Hi, also an Elite novice. I copied Crabs files into the directory, but when starting Elite, it does not show under the Controls Presets like crabs screenshot from just above my post.
In my Windows Explorer, in the ...Options/Bindings folder, there are now three files:
Custom0.8.binds (type: BINDS-file)
ED_T.FlightHotasX_Crab_v5.37.7z (type: 7Z-file)
StartPreset.start (type: Start-file)
Does that look right? Or did I do anythinig wrong when copying the file? Your help is much appreciated!

Hi Crab, I've a question: I've copied the Xbox file in the Bindings folder but, when in game, the custom layout doesn't appear.

how do i even download this when i click download it just reloads the page in a different language
Already done that but still nothing
EDIT: I managed to get it work by move the .binds file in this directory *\Steam\SteamApps\common\Elite Dangerous\Products\FORC-FDEV-D-1010\ControlSchemes instead of the one in %appdata%

a couple of months ago. I got a lot of good info from this thread and have mine set up with a couple of shifts which means I only have keyboard keys set for some things which are rarely used. I have just used the in game controls in E and created a Custom set from the Empty option there. When I first installed the Hotas-X I found that the drivers from the Thrustmaster site were much better than the ones Windows installs. Has anyone used or figured out what the Mapping and Preset buttons on the right hand joystick are for. I would like to experiment with them but I am not very tekkie and don't want to mess up my present set up which works ok but would appreciate a clarification on the two buttons mentioned.

Then enter in the game, options, controller, and select T.Flight Hotas X Crab setup.
I printed also the pdf with the scheme, more easier for have a look.
