This is very bad decision. This is pure Pay 2 Win (broad term, let's not get into the semantics of what it means, I think we all get the jist). It gives access to new content only to those who can afford it and putting it behind a real-money paywall. Yes, the same can be said about the Odyssey DLC, but in this case you get the entire DLC with LOTS of new content, which is in my opinion fair and understandable. But this decision really leaves very bad taste in my mouth, especially after what David Braben was saying all these years ago about the real money stuff being only cosmetic. I am very sad and very disappointed to see Frontier's decision to go this way, as this sets a very slippery slope precedence and it's going back on what was said to us 10 years ago.
It is not really something I hoped I would see on the 10th anniversary of the game release
