Well that's fair enough then sir. Indeed SELLING for moral reasons is acceptable.

Indeed, I made a loss on Frontier. Them's the breaks but glad I sold when I did because the share price continues to tank. Might actually be a good time to buy again.

I would have thought with PlanetCoaster the stocks would have improved... or at least become more stable? I mean this is Frontier's expertise after all, Elite has always been niche, Rollercoaster sim at least attracts from a wide demographic. Hell, my aunt and uncles computer had Rollercoaster tycoon on it.

I find a cause is always helped best by smearing my own excrement on everything then jumping up and down crying.

By chance are you a politician?

I would like to point out that almost no company discusses their internal stuff with public or their clients.

true but due to kickstarter backing this is not the average non disclosed project, isnt it?

and what is so damn difficult to make a short posting BEFOREHAND about the change of a well known comunity figure. Its not needed for the day average coder which noone knows, but if its a "public" figure, a short explanation is just good to EASE the public reaction on it.

<nods> This! This thread cannot help, but it could harm!

Unlikely, it is obvious that the decision regarding SJA won't be reversed by 'gnashing of teeth' on these boards, (quite rightly), but I do not believe it will be harmful either, if the more 'passionate' posters in this thread don't have an influence one way, (quite rightly), they are unlikely to in another.

Perhaps you should tell my employer and clients that then. WE're a big believer in project persistency where I work. :p Given a lot of my work is client facing, and we regularly interact with our clients (I'm a combo project manager/technical engineer/test lead for what it's worth) our clients tend to get understandably nervous if and when one of us is moved to another project at the last minute.

Different strokes for different folks I suspect.

Got to witness a lot of PM work in a local authority infrastructure upgrade, to say that people got moved around a lot is an understatement. People got axed left right and centre, parent company would often send people down to do the work and then they would just vanish to some distant country for a seminar and never be seen again. One quote that held though was 'The problem with project work is, you work yourself out of a contract'. Suffice to say, the project was ongoing for way longer than it should have been and many of the glaringly obvious improvements suggested were ignored.

If she had been given a sprint deadline it's odd that she seemed so surprised and upset to be moved. And the AI is broken according to a now redacted post made yesterday morning. All AI is behaving as harmless.

And you're comment sir shows you don't understand sprint planning and priority management.

This isn't an infinite monkeys scenario. If I give you 2 sprints to fix something, and 4 sprints in it's still not delivered then it's time to move on and maybe let someone else have a look at it. You've already cost me 2 sprints where I could have used you as a resource.

Probably the most reasonable explanation I've seen so far.

Apart from the "gnashing and wailing of teeth" bit.

Has anyone checked on Shaddragon or whatever his name is?
He seemed to have a crush on Sarah and he's probably not going to take the news lightly.
I can't check as I add all fanboys to my ignore list.

No, though that does have an impact on my view of the FD 'morals'. Trying to argue that people who wanted offline were not entitled to a refund because they had played online in the beta, was indefensible.

Yeah when I read that I knew that this was not one of those 'nice independent developers' that are built on loyalty and trust, you won't see me pre-ordering anything from FD for this very reason. I if I am giving them my money (which I'm short of btw - I notice a lot of people here seem to be well financed), I am giving it for the reasons they list, I don't want those reasons to suddenly disappear like they did in this case. And then to argue it?

By the way, what happened with that? Did those people who play online eventually get their money back?

Posting in epic thread to gnash teeth and pull hair with the 'best' of them.

What are 'we all' angry about??
Speculation?
Oh well, carry on then It's an internet tradition I believe.
*sigh*

No need to be insulting, I understand them fine thanks. Any way you cut this it smacks of bad management. Staff who have been made aware of their deadlines and the conditions under which they are working tend not to react with shock and horror if that deadline is missed and they are reassigned. And the AI is still broken.
