Okay, I got back from way out west yesterday, and it was SO MUCH FUN!

On Friday, my mom and I flew out to Las Vegas at 5:00 AM. We stayed at the Luxor hotel (the pyramid one) and had breakfast there. We then decided to check out the coasters at the Adventuredome at the Circus Circus hotel. The El Loco was fine, but I disliked the tight Wild Mouse turns. I tried to go on the Canyon Blaster, but the overhead restraints didn't feel right on me. I have thick shoulders, so when I pulled it down over my head, it left a lot of room. I just didn't feel safe. I also checked out SpongeBob's Crazy Carnival Ride, a dark ride at the Circus Circus in which you blast digital targets on screens. It was really fun! We then went to the New York New York hotel, and I rode the Big Apple Coaster, which I felt much safer on. I really enjoyed that experience. We then had lunch a buffet at one of the hotels.

After we took a nap at the hotel for a few hours, we grabbed a quick dinner and went to the highlight of the day: Weird Al Yankovic was playing at the Venetian hotel for his Bigger and Weirder tour. I, the Weird Al jukebox that I am, sang my heart out to most of the songs (out of the 30 or so songs, I only didn't know two or three), and all of the fans whom I interacted with were just so fun and enthusiastic. One of the guys who sat in front of me told me that I made his night because I knew all the words. However, what I was most excited for was when he, as advertised, played songs that he had never played live before, especially "Everything You Know is Wrong" and "Mission Statement."

On Saturday, we drove out to Zion National Park, the real highlight of the trip. It was BEAUTIFUL! The mountains were just so massive! I'm from flat old Florida, so I'm not used to such massive land masses towering over me in so many beautiful colors and shapes. We grabbed lunch at the Zion Lodge and hiked the Emerald Pools trail. It wasn't as hot and tiring as I thought it would be. I'm used to sweating a lot and intense humidity, so this was a strange yet welcomed change. After we drove back to Vegas and took a little break, we checked out Area 15. It wasn't really my cup of tea, so we left. For dinner, I tried an In-N-Out burger for the first time since we don't have those in Florida, and it's WAAAYYY better than McDonald's and Burger King. We then grabbed some gelato afterwards and headed off to the hotel to wind down for the night.

We just got up early and flew back on Sunday. I'm surprised that the jet lag didn't affect me too much. I was also shocked that I WEIGHED THE SAME AS I DID BEFORE WE LEFT! I assumed that I had gained a little after all the burgers, fries, and gelato, but nope.

Overall, I had a fun trip! If any of you have the opportunity to go to Zion National Park, go there! You'll love it!

Ok, as a non-biased Floridian, would you say In-N-Out or Whataburger? I'm a Whataburger nut, but lately people are dissing it and saying In-N-Out is better (imma be honest, I don't really care but I love to mess with people, even if I'm wrong)

I usually gain 10 or so pounds, but I lose it fast. Shocked that you didn't gain anything, I need your secrets

You’re gonna hate me for this. I’ve never tried Whataburger. I know there’s some in Florida, but not in my neck of the woods.

Bro, I don’t even know how that happened. I guess walking through Zion and up and down the Las Vegas strip helped a lot.

Wow, 2 Floridians both came to Texas and chose In-N-Out over Texas' own fast food chain. I see how it is...

Nah, for real, I don't particularly care. I'm just a fan of the party melt and a vanilla shake
