Okay, I got back from way out west yesterday, and it was SO MUCH FUN!

On Friday, my mom and I flew out to Las Vegas at 5:00 AM. We stayed at the Luxor hotel (the pyramid one) and had breakfast there. We then decided to check out the coasters at the Adventuredome at the Circus Circus hotel. The El Loco was fine, but I disliked the tight Wild Mouse turns. I tried to go on the Canyon Blaster, but the overhead restraints didn't feel right on me. I have thick shoulders, so when I pulled it down over my head, it left a lot of room. I just didn't feel safe. I also checked out SpongeBob's Crazy Carnival Ride, a dark ride at the Circus Circus in which you blast digital targets on screens. It was really fun! We then went to the New York New York hotel, and I rode the Big Apple Coaster, which I felt much safer on. I really enjoyed that experience. We then had lunch a buffet at one of the hotels.

After we took a nap at the hotel for a few hours, we grabbed a quick dinner and went to the highlight of the day: Weird Al Yankovic was playing at the Venetian hotel for his Bigger and Weirder tour. I, the Weird Al jukebox that I am, sang my heart out to most of the songs (out of the 30 or so songs, I only didn't know two or three), and all of the fans whom I interacted with were just so fun and enthusiastic. One of the guys who sat in front of me told me that I made his night because I knew all the words. However, what I was most excited for was when he, as advertised, played songs that he had never played live before, especially "Everything You Know is Wrong" and "Mission Statement."

On Saturday, we drove out to Zion National Park, the real highlight of the trip. It was BEAUTIFUL! The mountains were just so massive! I'm from flat old Florida, so I'm not used to such massive land masses towering over me in so many beautiful colors and shapes. We grabbed lunch at the Zion Lodge and hiked the Emerald Pools trail. It wasn't as hot and tiring as I thought it would be. I'm used to sweating a lot and intense humidity, so this was a strange yet welcomed change. After we drove back to Vegas and took a little break, we checked out Area 15. It wasn't really my cup of tea, so we left. For dinner, I tried an In-N-Out burger for the first time since we don't have those in Florida, and it's WAAAYYY better than McDonald's and Burger King. We then grabbed some gelato afterwards and headed off to the hotel to wind down for the night.

We just got up early and flew back on Sunday. I'm surprised that the jet lag didn't affect me too much. I was also shocked that I WEIGHED THE SAME AS I DID BEFORE WE LEFT! I assumed that I had gained a little after all the burgers, fries, and gelato, but nope.

Overall, I had a fun trip! If any of you have the opportunity to go to Zion National Park, go there! You'll love it!

Ok, as a non-biased Floridian, would you say In-N-Out or Whataburger? I'm a Whataburger nut, but lately people are dissing it and saying In-N-Out is better (imma be honest, I don't really care but I love to mess with people, even if I'm wrong)

I usually gain 10 or so pounds, but I lose it fast. Shocked that you didn't gain anything, I need your secrets

As a Floridian I tried In-N-Out when I drove west and it was ok but overated imo. I’ve never tried whataburger I gotta try it next time I’m out west

A national treasure indeed.

You’re gonna hate me for this. I’ve never tried Whataburger. I know there’s some in Florida, but not in my neck of the woods.

Bro, I don’t even know how that happened. I guess walking through Zion and up and down the Las Vegas strip helped a lot.

Wow, 2 Floridians both came to Texas and chose In-N-Out over Texas' own fast food chain. I see how it is...

Nah, for real, I don't particularly care. I'm just a fan of the party melt and a vanilla shake

Just got done getting a wart removed from my eyebrow, it actually didn't hurt to bad but oh boy was my anxiety getting to me, like I had to get sticked multiple times with a needle in my eyebrow (which actually didn't hurt to bad, but still) and my aanxietyxity was 100 times worse, heck the worse phyiscal pain I felt in recent memory (numbing shot in toe) was probably on par with the anxiety I felt these past few days. So yea, besides that the removal went well and I am doing fine.

Glad to hear you are okay. I know the anxiety feeling. I had a surgery 2 years back and honestly the surgery pain was almost zero, but when I got home from the clinic I had to give injections to my stomach by myself for a few days and man, was that scary. I always had to mentally prepare myself like for an half hour before I could procceed to it. I do not know how people with diabetes do that everyday, but I guess you get used to it.

Oh god I was meant to do that too after my surgery but I totally wimped out and couldn't do it - too scary! I have gotten used to medical professionals needling me but I can't bring myself to do it myself! Or even let my mum or husband help me 😂 Agree, people with diabetes are very brave. So are all the people on these new weight loss drugs! I still prefer the long way round - diet and exercise! Give me a carrot over an injection any day 😂

Well done @Mr-Hyrax 2 , is it nice to have that thing gone now?

Anyone played with the new pack yet? I'm hoping to tonight :)

I hope I can play a little tonight. Last night it took me forever to download and I had to record some voice over for my next video. My computer is frustratingly slow at times. I’ve dealt with this every major update to PZ. Soon though my wife’s computer will come from up north and we’ll be in a better state. I can leave my current laptop just for video editing

Aw great, how was your wedding by the way? Want to share any pics? Does your wife play PZ or any other games and most importantly, is she an animal lover like you? :) she's a lucky lass ☺️

You’re so kind! The wedding was great everything was flawless! Most pictures don’t send well on the forums for me but I hope this one worked 🙏. We really wanted to splurge a lot on the honeymoon and we went on a Disney Cruise through the Caribbean and it was absolutely amazing. She doesn’t play many video games but she joins me for rounds of overcooked and Mario Kart here and there. She loves animals! Not as much as me and she isn’t a whole Zoology nerd but she’s always loving and giving personalities to the cute critters and genuinely is in love with raccoons (like it’s a near obsession lol)

I had a wonderful start to the day: on my way to work while cycling I hit a rut on a straight stretch of road (wet from the storm last night) and lost control. Two deep stitched cuts on my chin and elbow and a painful bruise on my knee later, I'm now lying in bed and can hardly find a good position to rest because something hurts in every part of my body. 🤕 At least nothing is broken and no concussion. Since I've hit my chin on the concrete, I can barely eat, and with my hand and elbow I'll probably only be dealing with Planet Zoo via YouTube videos for the time being. 😮‍💨

Didn't I write just a few days ago that after the first half of the year was filled to the brim with illnesses for me, I was full of hope the second half would go better? Well, we're still in the first half, so I could still be lucky... 😅

I feel that pain, oof. At least you can hang out at home.

Happy for you, @SanRazo
Wishing all the best for y'all.

My day's not too shabby. But window washers have a little feud with yard guys. See, we clean the windows, they blow all the dirt back, which is a pain.
However, today is the 1st time I've seen the yard guys blow everything away and I to the grass. They have my respect...

I'll be gone for two weeks from tomorrow on, I'm going on a vacation to Lisbon and Madeira. My first longer journey in years (you know pandemic, study, money etc...). So excited! Hope to see some cetaceans in the waters of the island. Also planning on visiting Lisbon Zoo and Lisbon Oceanarium, hoping to spot their Iberian lynxes and northern sea otters.
Unfortunately did not find the time yet to check out the new DLC, the timing of the release is really unfortunate for me this time haha. Guess I'll dive into in two weeks then.
See you!

Oh that is nice. I love to visit zoos and aquariums on my travels, unfortunately, everyone I go with is not really that much of a zoo nerd like me, so they always want to rush through the enclosures while I want to take it nice and slowly. 😂

I havent really had a time to play with the pack, I am hosting a Bday party in my place on Saturday so I am all in a cleaning mode. I also painted my terrace so I am totally done today. Cannot bring myself to play even. Just chilling by the TV now.
