Raxxla is the friends we made along the wayraxxla is not a place.
it's a journey.
and everyone has to make it for themselfs.
some will find it, most will not.

Source? I think that's a bigger myth than Raxxla itself.I'll assume that since the system it was in was actually visited, [...]
I guess no, but obviously it's impossible to be sure. Here's the scenario: I have all engineers unlocked and a pot of cash. I have as many permits as engineer / rank locks allow for currently.
Question: If I set out today, is Raxxla possible to find and identify?
I don't count Raxxla being in-game but not programmed in by Fdev or hidden behind a locked/hidden/yet-to-be-unlocked system as a 'yes' answer.
Could I set out now and, with no interaction or alterations from FDev, find it?
I converted your answer to binary as requested by OP:Well, as far as I remember, Michael Brookes said yes, and that they're not going to be giving any clues about it at all.
However, given the way the game currently functions, if you were to find it, you probably wouldn't be able to do anything with it other than just look at it and scan it.
If it's a planet with any type of atmosphere: no landing.
If there's anything supposed to be ON the planet: inaccessible.
The search for Raxxla should probably be a backburner project for now until Elite has more full fleshed out exploration mechanics and/or atmospheric landings.
It's like... I want to go to visit Cygnus X-1. I have the system bookmarked in my galaxy map, but if I went now, I'd only be disappointed because I already know what a black hole next to a star looks like in the game as it currently stands, and it's not impressive. I want to save that trip for when FD revamp black holes and give us stuff like accretion disks and hopefully interaction with the companion star.
If transcends means FD shuts the servers down I hope this will take some more decades<Mysterious eastern voice> Only those who do not seek Raxxla will ever find it. They will turn away from the vastness of the galaxy and find it within themselves. Thus will they transcend the act of mere finding in the light of being.
