No matter how many lifeless barren worlds one visits, at the end of the day, nothing feels like coming home to a personally customised mobile base that is your own XD.

Confirmation is confirmation, what you’re doing is guessing, speculating, presuming.
Maybe add ‘at launch’ then because this describes the future coming DLC titled Oddysey.

I don't know if there will be walking in ships or not, I really don't. But you can't claim it's not going to happen because they didn't mention it in the first of the stream things - it's a ridiculous thing to suggest!!

The interview gives me the impression they're still finalizing specific details of the expansion,it seems a little late in the day for that sort of talk,i fear we're going to be getting a lot of "not at launch" talk going forward.

It's 'Ship Legs' ain't in Odyssey and they haven't confirmed walking around in stations or outposts but walking on planets, bases and interaction with settlements (not just shooting them) have been. AS long as they haven't crossed it off the list permanently (Same for VR), then I'm fine.

It is an infuriating vague phrase for an audience that want nailed down details.
I can only SPECULATE that they don't want to get specifics because then they have all sorts off issues down the line.
Worth remembering, they put back FCs to get them right and failed at that. My GUESS is they're keeping stuff open as options. There'll be an initial release, whoever pays for that, gets the free upgrades. It would be a sorry mess to say VR, ship interiors, 3,4,5,and 6 will be on release then each month closer to release announce 'Oh, no it won't' or worse, try to do it all in one hit and just create a proper sorry mess that is hard to unpick.
I suspect you're right in the expectation of more vagueness and whilst I also find it infuriating, I think I might also understand why.

We have already received the 1000 Space Monkeys (R) expansion in the forums mate - someone only gave them 999 typewriters though, so they're not making much sense yet...!
Of course that title describes features (not) coming with Odyssey DLC, I'm not a prophet to see beyond that. Maybe next expansion down the line will bring full ship interiors, I don't know. But the fact that nothing will change IN THAT REGARD in the foreseeable future is my original point.
