Why wouldn't the snowy owl go in a walkthrough aviary? Tons of zoos put birds of prey in walkthrough aviaries. Do people think birds of prey just randomly attack people?and a flying bird that definitely should not be in a walkthrough aviary.

Depends on the bird of prey.Do people think birds of prey just randomly attack people?
It's been done, but it's by far not the main way birds of prey are exhibited. It also offers zero options for actually constructing aviaries (which is why I simply don't think we'll get larger flying birds at all)
I mean, they're not going to add flying birds at all, so it's a moot point, but our current walkthrough exhibit animals are fast-fliers (bats, butterflies) and slow-sitters (sloths). Small birds would fit the former and birds of prey would fit the latter. Birds of prey don't do much of anything inside of aviaries unless they need to. They spend the majority of their time perched, watching. Food arrives, and they give a few lazy flaps to go down and eat it. Then they sit pretty again. Occasionally they'll interact with one another.(It's not like frontier will add flying bird of prey anyway)
Tbh small aviaries are no longer fit for modern standards. Birds of prey avuaries nowadays tend to be huge.I mean, they're not going to add flying birds at all, so it's a moot point, but our current walkthrough exhibit animals are fast-fliers (bats, butterflies) and slow-sitters (sloths). They're kind of perfect for the WTE. They would do barely any more than the sloth does.
The WTE is enormous. Like bigger than most houses.Tbh small aviaries are no longer fit for modern standards. Birds of prey avuaries nowadays tend to be huge.
240m2 as I recently learntThe WTE is enormous. Like bigger than most houses.
Oh, sorry. That Image was unreliable.Oh wow that's cool. It makes some sense considering that they may have lived in colder climates at some point. I just wonder how reliable it is: i.e. does every red wolf have a bigger tail than the average Indian wolf's tail?
Yeah the regular exhibit barely qualifies as a "small" aviary.240m2 as I recently learnt
So, what is your suggestion?I also think people find it hard to picture the size of the animals in question. Something like the Eurasian eagle owl would not be crammed into the WTE; though they are the largest of the owls, compared to a human they're not that gigantic. Same with the Andean condor.
What do you mean? We're not getting flying birds at all so it doesn't really matter. I'm just saying there's no special difference between "big" flying birds and "small" flying birds. They could all be WTE animals. So, what is your suggestion?
I was asking what you what you were trying to say. Also, how do you know it's not happening? What do you mean? We're not getting flying birds at all so it doesn't really matter. Because it would have by now if it was going to.Also, how do you know it's not happening?
Not necessarily. I'm not saying birds are coming, but we all thought that bats and sloths weren't ever going to come.Because it would have by now if it was going to.
Just controversial by us. I somehow cannot imagine that the sloth is in any case controversial for the common player. I think the majority is just happy we got a Sloth in the end.Not necessarily. I'm not saying birds are coming, but we all thought that bats and sloths weren't ever going to come.
And now we have 2 bats and a controversial sloth
We've had bats, butterflies, and a sloth, and no birds. I won't get into this argument again, but IMO support is going to end without flying birds ever making it into the game. Not necessarily. I'm not saying birds are coming, but we all thought that bats and sloths weren't ever going to come.
And now we have 2 bats and a controversial sloth
Frontier outright decided to went back to the default exhibit in the arid pack just to avoid putting birds in WE.Not necessarily. I'm not saying birds are coming, but we all thought that bats and sloths weren't ever going to come.

Tbh the Arid pack screamed for a regular exhibit animal... though a chameleon or cobra would've been better.Frontier outright decided to went back to the default exhibit in the arid pack just to avoid putting birds in WE.
If this is not a "screw birds" i honestly don't know what is.
Side note: i actually believe they are coming... in the last pack, just to Frontier ask more money for it, so be prepared for a macaw (or 4) and nothing more.
