Spring dlc Speculation 2023

Finis suggestion about textures being somewhat more interesting than props I wholeheartedly support.

I really liked the concept of the Conservation pack scenery being focused on sustainability, and absolutely wouldn't mind new pieces of a similar vein.
One example is rammed earth, a very interesting sustainable building method (and a very interesting texture, especially if it would be a flexicolour piece):

I'd also be down for rusted iron panels and walls.

Hannover Zoo has this Yukon Bay theme for its NA/Aquatic Section.
with this giant ship and the retaining wall (in the front is the polar bear habitat in the back with this arena thing the seals and sea lions)

Maybe this could be a nice texture with some kind of mossy wooden and concrete poles

even such rusty wall things could be a thing
plus with this reet roof

I think you can build a pretty good coastal scenery pack with lots of useful parts. A few more buoys, nets, tires (maybe something in the direction of mining). Animals could Be:
Walrus, Pelican, Sea Otter and the Green Sea Turtle + Coconut Crab.
Et voila a solid coastal pack
Wow that's an A+ for theming that surprisingly works well

Scenery pack ideas that could work out well (imo):
  • Himalayan mountains - alot of decorative pieces which just is not feasible to build in game

  • American old West - I see this alot but I feel this is more planet coaster than zoo. Introduce horizontal stained wood and new customisable sign boards

  • South East Asia - places like Indonesia and Thailand have unique architecture which would also work for an islands pack

  • Coastal - Mediterranean and general harbour town scenery would be an expansion to the aquatic pack. Looking at maybe greece kind of buildings?

  • Latin America - mix of new world Spanish architecture and modern Latin America would complement the south America pack

Im sure there is many other odd themes that frontier surely knows that find in zoos, twilight and conservation set examples of different themes but added much needed materials like actual slat boards to work with
These are all beautiful! Any of them added in would be great. I'm also going to add a Bavarian/Tudor set. Can we make them with what we have now? Yes, but it can be tedious as they are blueprints not pieces. Having a set of single pieces on a grid would make building in this style a lot less time consuming (not to mention less errors in alignments etc)

I've been thinking about what scenery packs we could get and I think that an arboreal pack would be a nice option.

The pack would include many new trees (like the conservation pack added many new flowers) and also broken trunks and branches. The main building set would be some kind of (horizontal) wood for building tree houses or wooden buildings:

The update would add brachiation to orangutans (and chimps/bonobos?). And the new path would be also wood but with mesh handrail:

Such a pack woulld fit the spring season well in my opinion!

Maybe it could be part of the free update, to change path, curbs and fence seperatly? I would die for this change!

I really like this pack. Personally I would change the Fossa (->Island Animal Pack) for a species of Pheasent.

Not a pheasant but I wouldn't mind an Islands pack with the devil, tree kangaroo, kiwi and the victoria crowned pigeon. Only issue is it's Frontier and they will never give us a dlc with multiple birds lol. And the first 3 are non-negotiables for me.

Why isn't twilight pack called north america pack?
Well only 2/5 animals (well probably 3 if one counts the red fox range in north America) were north America so not really north American generic . But if we are talking basically the entire roster from Oceania to call it islands? I don't know I won't be happy in the slightest

An islands Pack would be my favourite choice for this year, my idea, probably you already have heard it, but with some changes it can be so good:

1: Tasmanian Devil: The most obvious pick. The headliner of the pack, new rig and representation of Tasmania
2: Goodfellow´s Tree Kangaroo: A very interesting pick. New rig and representation of New Guinea
3: Nort Island Brown Kiwi: Another obvious pick. A very needed bird, similar rig to baby cassowaries and representation of New Zeland
4: Sumatran Rhino: Pleas don´t start to say that is not in captivity and shouldn´t come to the game. The smallest of the rhinos, a very incredible species. Rhinos rig and representation of Sumatra
5: Fossa: Another obvious choice. The most needed Madagascar animal, priority for Madagascan sections. Similar to feline rig and representation of Madagascar
6: Southern Rockhopper penguin: The most curious selection in the pack. African penguin rig and representation of southern islands
7: I do not know what put in here i tought on radiated tortoises, aye-ayes, nenes and even that thing called tanuki, but i cannot select something, i cannot aclare.
8: Panther Chameleon: We need chameleons, the world needs them. New rig and representation of Madagascar

Victoria's crowned pigeon is a good option for that 7th spot.
