Well in fact the American flamingo is more north American and central American bird than south America one xdAmerican Flamingo (we desperatly need a colorfull south american bird)

Ha the roseate spoonbill might be the better option if mentioning south AmericaWell in fact the American flamingo is more north American and central American bird than south America one xd
I like the idea but literally none of those animals are some I'd ask "why wasn,'t this animal in x pack?"How about something like an returning favorites animal pack, filled with typical contenders for "why wasnt this in x pack" while also not nessecarly having another clear shot for a pack?
Id choose:
- European Moufflon (A wildpark staple)
- American Black Bear (the one all the NA players are asking about)
- American Flamingo (we desperatly need a colorfull south american bird)
- Greater Rhea (Back bone of most south american sections)
- Greater Kudu (large African Antelope)
- Squirrel Monkey (super common monkey)
- Literally any macropod
- 5 more Butterflies for the WE
You might have noticed a second theme, all these animals are quite similar to animaks in game, with this being in my opinion propaply among the best "clone" pack you can make thats lower effort but doesnt feel like it, being a smart way to allign both themes into something that doesnt feel as cheap as a "close relatives" pack or whatever with each of the animals adding more then the typical stuff you see for clone packs
Of course these kind of lists are entirely subjective, we all have our favourite animals missed from each packI like the idea but literally none of those animals are some I'd ask "why wasn,'t this animal in x pack?"
Oh please no it's bad enough in real lifeIf we get a Highlands DLC, I hope we will receive a new staff type, the bag pipe player. They will scare away visitors, and can be inspected by king penguins.
I'm Scottish, I hear it way too much. Most of the time it sounds like a dying pig since there is a world of difference between amateur pipers and professionals (not shaming anyone who likes bagpipes, I just don't like them)birds
also bag pipe music can be pretty lit idk why u hatin
That I agree, lad. Me personal favourite is ClanadoniaI'm Scottish, I hear it way too much. Most of the time it sounds like a dying pig since there is a world of difference between amateur pipers and professionals (not shaming anyone who likes bagpipes, I just don't like them)
And the scarlet ibis.Ha the roseate spoonbill might be the better option if mentioning south America
For me, I just think they are prettier than the greater flamingo. I'm from the U.S. and like to build realistic zoos personally. Greater flamingos aren't really that common here that I know of. I've only seen them in Europe (ZSL). Here I've seem lesser, Chilean, and American flamingos. But I do agree spoonbill or ibis definitely warrants the spot over another flamingo, especially the ibis for me.And the scarlet ibis.
I don't understand this obsession with the american flamingo that is getting so much track lately. I prefer a unique bird model/rig that we don't already have like an ibis or spoonbill than a flamingo reskin. The american flamingo is great for an anniversary animal.
Man, I miss the old ZT2 days where, depending on the XP you had, the main theme would change.Anyway I do wish to see a Highlands Pack with Bagpipes remix of Planet Zoo theme![]()
I grew up near a big field where at least two aspiring pipers would practice on the weekends so bad bagpipes is weird nostalgic for me. Objectively terrible, but still nostalgic.I'm Scottish, I hear it way too much. I will talk about the absolute bare minimum rather than the ideal amount:
Birds :
20 species at the bare minimum. Typically 2-5 large free flight aviaries for birds of prey, two dozen aviaries of small birds especially African, south American and Asian specimens, and of course several larger ground dwelling birds.
Reptiles:
- 2 birds of prey - a vulture and an eagle
- 6 habitat birds - examples are another flamingo, spoonbill. Ibis, crane, savannah African birds like secretary bird or helmeted guineafowl
- 12 smaller aviary birds - 4 south American, 4 Asian, 4 Oceania. European and north American are not as prominent as the above. Ideally we have 20 small birds alone but that's unrealistic for frontiers standards
Not near as many as birds since we already have the stars of the show ingame. A decent reptile habitat area could be say 5 or 6 habitats with 60 percent of those collections have a reasonable substitute already in game. I would say a dozen more will provide ample coverage
- Another monitor
- An African crocodile
- 3 species of small tortoise
- 7 exhibit reptiles especially snakes
Ha let's play thenIn another thread, a comment that Cap said inspired me to start a little game:
So, with that in mind, let's build a set of DLC for this year, 4 total, plus a 4th anniversary. To more or less balance it out, here are the rules:
- You have a total of 23 habitat species
- The ratio will be: for every 3 mammals, you need 1 bird. For every 3 birds, 1 reptile
- Exhibit animals are free-for-all, meaning they won't follow the rules except that you have a limit of up to 4
For everyone who doesn't want to do the math it works out to 16 mammals, 4 birds, 1 reptile, and 2 leftover spaces which I guess you can use for anything? In another thread, a comment that Cap said inspired me to start a little game:
