Spring dlc Speculation 2023

I think it will be another 4 month wait with absolutely no clues on what possible dlc it may be. The winter thread was heavily driven with birds,Taiga and island speculation but this time it's very mixed on what the community agrees what may come. The Tasmanian devil and it's accompanying island pack hype continues into its third block with the 'perfect' time of year for such a pack. With the pattern changed, no clear predictions and no seasonal pattern, this may be a wild 4 months of speculation. Just hoping the 'controversial' topics are calmly discussed
Absolutely agree. The December pack being a Grassland pack definitely twisted the link to a season sort of theme. It's now as likely for a temperate/taiga pack to come in the spring or summer even.

It'll be interesting to see how far this thread gets. Keeping in mind we're probably looking at a late March/early April release, if we follow the past Spring DLC patterns. Though this year has definitely shown us patterns can be changed. Going to do my best to just be chill until early March at very least.
We're looking at an April 4th release really, unless they're changing the one thing that has been consistent throughout the entire Planet-game release cycle, which is releasing a DLC in the week of Easter 😅 This actually helps us a lot, because we should be seeing something in the week of the 19th of March, if not we're ready to draw some conclusions for sure.

Frontier always goes for the unpredictable stuff. Watch everyone expect some easter stuff, and then we somehow get a Passover DLC instead. The jews deserve some love.

Hi there guys, i didn´t noticed that this thread existed, so i´m here thanx to Callum and Markiz, thanks guys 😅
It will take a long time, but let´s see what Frontier has prepared for us this 2023!

They have so many ideas from us here that don’t need more probably 😋
At the premiere of grasslands Pack they confirmed how closely they look at the forums and how precisely they read everything.

Honestly i dont think thats the best way to go. With including some more oddball picks in their dlcs Frontier is sorta prolonging the game support lifetime. Means more packs, more updates etc. Imo this is preferable over jamming the Top15 animals into 2 packs and calling it done :)

The last newsletter sent by Planet Zoo basically confirms there is more content coming in 2023 :)

I am willing to pay for more animals and foliage for several years as long as the quality is good. Even when we start getting into really obscure species. Plus the update content makes the game fresh and adds new things to do.
Same here - I have many times payed for a pack only because there was 1 animal that I had an interest in.

I would gladly pay for many years to come. I wish planet zoo at least as many years of DLC’s as The sims 4 - in the market from 2014 and still releasing new content.

Why planet zoo wouldn’t go the same path if it keeps being profitable?

Glad to see widespread optimism about the future of PZ.
We are in a very interesting point, because we know for sure that birds are definitely coming, and that's exciting and makes me full of hype.
But at the same time it's like... Will they be able to do it right? It's opening a door to a new world, with hundreds of species that should be included. Do we have that much time left? Or will birds DLCs have much more species than we are used to? I want to see how they will solve it, and I want them to do it right...
Sending my best wishes for the team, I trust them!

Same here. I'm definitely going to buy any pack but a spider/centipede pack. Even if they "run out" of new update ideas and just update for new content and bug fixes that's fine with me. I'll happily keep supporting the game another 3, 4, 5 years.
