They would just need a system like the peafowl's tail
Same for the peccary. Yeah they exist in the borders pf deserts but are far far away from a proper desert animal. They are mostly tropical, check their range.
Weird about nothing of the jwe2 stream, so maybe a dlc is coming? And that means a pz is coming too, but still no outsource_lqa update in steamdb
True but the peccary and red river hog compete for the pig slot in a tropical pack as theres no way we get both in it, so getting the peccary in the desert pack assures we can get both
Historically, Frontier has released DLC packs just ahead of the Easter holiday weekend. Easter's on the 9th this year so yeah... April 4th feels pretty likely!
A special stream on Friday would fit right in with that schedule as there's usually ~2 weeks leading up to the release. Though, if I'm being honest, I feel like early next week is more probable for the stream.

Eh. The "average" person knows more about animals than we give them credit for really, but even then the average Planet Zoo player at this point isn't someone with barely any animal knowledge. The people who still play it to this day are people who like animals/like zoos/ like animals and zoos; and they have a better knowledge of animals than the average person who has no interest in them whatsoever.
According to the release text the hair of the hyaena does correspond to specific behaviours so it's reasonable to assume they are animated.
For it to hit the schedule it would have to be next week, because then there would be an entire week in between reveal week and release week. But who knows, the CM's are creative so they might give it a twist

Yeah, a stream on Monday (3/20) and then a DLC reveal on Tuesday (3/21) would put it spot-on to that ~2 week DLC release run-up we usually see.
I was more reacting to the hole in the schedule. A stream on a Friday forcing folks to wait a full weekend before a reveal would be... A thing. LOL

Either way it doesn't matter. They're just steam repositories. If anything this should show that it isn't a two way street
So, what's the current theory/estimation for the live stream and/or announcement? I'm feeling DLCish!

Unless it's Avians or Farm Animals/Petting Zoo/Domestics, I eagerly anticipate what 1 or 2 out of the top echelons of the meta lists will be included. Tasmanian Devil? Sloth? Hot Take Hog? Walrus?

I actually think thats the way to go. They should keep the trend of "watering down" the DLC with a couple more obscure and less requested animals, like the caiman and lechwe in the Wetlands pack or the skunk for Twilight. I believe this is a good way to keep things interesting and saving some high profile animals for later packs means more content in the long run.
Also many of these oddball picks, that i would have probably never asked for ended up being among my favorite animals.
I agree with what you say in generality. But the thing about "saving some high profile animals for later packs" is that at some point there won't be later packs. Then again, I'm of the side of the opinion that i'd rather get more animals I want faster lol
I agree they should put more obscure stuff but the skunk is definitely not obscure

Also wouldn't have the echidna in the same pack as the Porcupine. I know their completely unrelated but it feels weird having the 2 spiky animals people want together.
