Spring dlc Speculation 2023

What does Outsource_lqa actually mean? That the DLC is finished or something?
honestly, that's what I'd like to know. But all I know is that the update/DLC announcement comes 7-10 after the Outsource_lqa appears on the Steam DB.
Judging by what others say, Outsource_lqa is the translation to all the supported languages ingame for new content. This means all new content has been translated and is ready to be finalised for a release

….. Especially being able to move the sun around. That would be incredibly helpful. I ache whenever I realize I have to build in the shadows simply because of where the sun is in relation to that particular section of my zoo...
For the sun, my biggest wish is that it could be in the Southern hemisphere - it’s annoying that, irrespective of where the zoo is, the sun is to the South.

Yes, hot take pack. Oh my...hot plug hot shot. Yeah. google translate may not have been the best source for my joke. I can edit and remove if it's offensive.
The phrases hot plug / hot shot doesn't actually mean anything offensive. I thought it was funny enough translating that on Google

I am excited as always and hope we will get further information soon. Hope that one of my top favourite animals will come to the game but honestly I do not mind so much which animals we get at the end.

More than new animals I am really curious about the theme of the new DLC. Will it be something we've all predicted or something no one suspected. The anticipation is really killing me this time.

While I think we're getting birds and more flying animals eventually, I think we're going to get them in waves. First with the bat then the butterflies. What I'd like to see next is have the Titan Beetle, Goliath Beetle, Sacred Scarab and Giant Malaysian Leaf insects get an upgrade to having animations and being in the walk-through exhibits. They can fly too(except the female Malaysian leaf insect) but in short bursts. That way people that don't have the Twilight, Grassland, and/or the next pack(s) could actually use the walk-through exhibits.
And the DLC exhibit animals would be 3-5 rhinoceros beetles with the exact same new animations that the previously mentioned insects would get!

After that, a few song birds in the summer DLC and continuing to work their way up to bigger birds as we finish Frontier's support of PZ, Parrots next. Then full flight habitat birds like Raptors and Hornbills. With a new ground dwelling bird being the free aniversary animal(if we even get another) like the African crowned crane.

I'm not sure I agree with adding any of those four animals in walk-through exhibits. They're so small and I can't imagine how many you'd need to have for it to be worthwhile... It just doesn't strike me as realistic to have them as walk-throughs. Butterfly gardens at zoos have a variety of species and loads of butterflies, and as a species they spend a lot of time flying. I just don't think it's realistic to have like, a massive habitat dedicated to Titan Beetles that people walk through. They'd have to be checking the ground the whole time so as to not step on them.

If anything, I could see them doing a DLC with flighted birds in an exhibit and including one species with the free update. But then if you want a mixed species habitat... You need to buy the DLC. But even that feels like a stretch, TBH.
