By focusing only on Todd Pappy they seem to be completely missing the point that it is not just him. There seems to have been a number of other devs leaving, seemingly non voluntarily over the past year or so. CIG being CIG that is probably the tip of the iceberg. How do we reconcile that with a company that has allegedly had its best funding year ever?

The fewer Devs the more money available to line pockets?

Game-dev-understander finds their way to the Refunds sub:

'NOV 2023 IAE "player" now beginning to see why...'

Also, being a former software engineer in the games industry, I get public alphas. But 4 months of SC it feels like a demo. Reading the history about SC is tedious, but the patch info on what is "happening" for the next drop seems, well, like absolutely nothing is really going to change much. Economy? What economy? Cryengine won't do any of this promised stuff, so where's the engine?

Hadn't seen this take on recent personnel exits from SC:

Mike & Space only focus on Todd Papy, and mainly think his removal might be behind CiG planning to put more stuff in 3.23? I wasn't really aware that anyone thought Todd was the bad guy in all this 🤔
Anyone can become the bad guy in a Dictatorship. The state just needs to sanction it and the talking heads will speak the party line. :p
