It's good from time to time to just say the obvious.
A lot of poeple including me would say that's exactly what we're doing when calling Star Citizen a scam.
I know you don't want to really know the game. Only the 'SC is a scam' is interesting you and posts that only show SC in a bad light. Someone like Golgot who only show bugs is perfect info for you, this thread (and perhaps the refund) is the only source of info you need. No need to search if there is more to the game than bugs
See, you still think I care about the bugs. I was asking a question about something I was curious about, pretty normal for people to do, becaue I don't know if the bugs I saw in those videos represents the average gameplay. Luckily Mole answered that question.
And yes I am only interested in the development, I'm only looking at the game as evidence of their actions. I didn't start off thinking it was a scam but a lot of what is shown from CIG lead me down that path. No I don't just focus on the negative either, I've liked your posts before when I thought it was informative and I have been proven wrong or jumped to conclusions by others here you say are anti-SC and I'm fine with that. Hell, you pointed out SC has wears and tears on the ships not too long ago and I did admit it improved my view of the game. It didn't change my view of CIG though, because it didn't change the way CIG operates.
I'm also not againt calling out games I like. Prime examples are Ghost Recon Wildlands and Mount & Blade Bannerlord. The games sucks but they're still the two game I play most. There is a distinction between liking something and standing up against what you think is wrong. Just because I like Wildlands and Bannerlord doesn't mean I'd defend any percieved attack on Ubisoft or Talesworld, in fact I hate both studios for how they operate and had stopped supporting them. I still play the games, but I also call them out for their bad deeds.
If you don't have an issue with how CIG are using backer's funds, good for you. It's not my fault I like making fun of CIG for how little they managed to put out despite the funding it got and time it had, or of people falling for their long history of lies. If CIG don't like it they can always speed up development and finish the game(s). At some point you have to ask yourself, are you defending CIG because you think they did no wrong or because you don't care and simply want the game of your dreams?
About Golgot, I don't comment on his post much beacuse like I said I don't care for the game itself, but the videos with CIG's history of promises are strong evidence CIG are not trustworthy. You on the other hand has all the opportuniy to present counter evidence in this court of public opinions. The stuff you post though are less trustworthy and you usually fallback to something like "do your own research" when confronted for proof. When one person has evidence from first party and the other has only word of mouth I'd rather believe the evidence.
TLDR: I'm just a guy on the internet CIG will never listen to me because I'll never give them my money.
