Game Discussions Star Citizen Discussion Thread v12

Yeah, interesting intro:

That guy stood out as one of the few senior hires when I took a look at comings & goings. (Bioware / Ubisoft etc). Intriguing to hear he's another long-term fan.

(Less surprising to hear that the cargo refactor is still a jumble of conceptual boxes ;))
How many times has CIG “refactored” the tier-0 cargo system so far???

Not enough ;)

But it is kinda nuts how many elements they still have to tackle. How to attach giant boxes to the outside of Hull ships? How to make those daft pyramid boxes work for the $225 Railen? How to get the Caterpillar's doors to work after over half a decade...?

(Notably they're not tackling the question of: Why would you want to load your giant spaceship by hand? But still jumping straight into that fun void, as exemplified by the pass-the-giant-parcel mini-game for salvage :/)

Everything is going to explode.

A lot ;)

Oo, SC is changing PC gaming finally!

Star Citizen development came into discussion in one of my college course, they are a great definition for scope creep, where they keep on adding features, that are truly unnecessary initially which causes the game to be in a constant development loop

My old cat died in her sleep this morning, a month short of her 23rd year. Best rat catcher I've ever had...she was strictly my cat...rather than a family pet so I'll miss having her around. She had a good innings though and I'm just glad she passed away peacefully.

Buried her down the machair overlooking the sea.

Ming the Merciless...a good cat :)

23 is a damn good run.

Damn, thought 17 was a good run for my old urbanised farm cat.

Sounds like a fine burial spot.

I lined her grave with flat, black stones and used a big one for a lid...so a proper cist burial. I had a flat stone with Viking runes scratched on it that I found in the old byre a few years ago, no idea what the runes said...but I thought it an appropriate headstone for a cat that was a true warrior. She wasn't a big cat but I've seen her battle with rats as big as she was. Her bent ear was due to a rat bite severing the tendon at the base of it. :)

Nearly got blown over to Norway by the 70mph storm force winds as I buried her...black skies with rain that was painful...a free chemical peel for the face
